rooting for a tie.. haha, but Denver right now is further along the building process than the rockets, a win for the nuggs now is a bit more important as I feel they have a real shot at making some noise this year.. Rockets still have some gaps to fill, but they have good young pieces... Honestly I like watching both play.. just not each other......

You also like GSW right? I have not followed them as much. Are they as fun to watch as these 2 teams?

yea, I like GSW.. Big steph curry fan, and of course always liked David. lee.... OKC is also a team I like watching... Durant is just so special.. Again, of late the events at MSG especially dolan has made me an even bigger fan of the NBA and not just the knicks.. I will always be a knick fan and one day soon I hope that things change and I can get back to having that great feeling about this organization.. but right now, I am just enjoying the NBA...

Last nights game was great, Curry and lee are playing some great ball, and no bogut as well.. jackson is doing a great coaching job... kudos to him as well...

sorry for ranting, to answer your question, they are as fun to watch.... Houston runs a lot, when they are on, they can flat out score the ball.. GSW and Denver can score as well, but they will also defend.. Houston has to improve there... but yea, GSW is fun to watch... Denver when they are on, can be a blast as well..

Whenever I watch Westbrook, I think . . . Curry's never going to get there, he's limited by this body, and he's never going to have the defensive chops, or the hops, to be as good as Westbrook. But . . . when I see them play against each each other, like last night, Curry usually holds his own, on his smarts and his shooting, more than anything else.

Curry's stats this year are nice but if you just follow his stats, you don't know his game. Last night, for example, he took (and missed) way too many 3 pt. shots. However, I suspect that was part of the game plan--keep OKC focused on Curry outside, missed shots be damned, to open up easy opportunities inside and generally spread the floor.

OKC is really fun to watch - Durant on a drive going right down the middle is a sight worth waiting for. He is so fluid, its incredible. I am also a big fan of Westbrook, he does go on his shooting sprees form time to time, but makes up for it with defense. He is possibly he best PG in the league after CP3. Ibaka is also shooting 3s this year - if they can keep their intensity up the heat will have a hard time as will the rest of the NBA.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I really like Westbrook, but I think people are underrating Rondo.
This season he's even jumpers at a higher rate.

Barkley manages to speak a sentence that makes and doesn't make sense at the same time.

"Blake Griffin isn't a great shooter from the line, but that shouldn't stop him from getting 10+ rebounds per game."

on a side note: Dragič started well tonight.

Thats a tough gig for Harland. Barkley is hard to handle and brings opinions more than analysis.

Not to go off topic but since you mentioned the Knicks with the post above, as a long time Knicks fan, I'm truthfully not sure how a long time Knicks fan isn't appreciating our current season. And enjoying it to the fullest. Have you not seen the injuries we've battled through thus far? More injuries than both your teams in Denver/Houston could ever fear and/or imagine. But yet, as of right now, we're in first place of the Atlantic Division. Something (the Atlantic division) in which we haven't won dating back to 1994 and/or only won two times under Patrick Ewing himself. But yet, you're not excited for our Knicks team as of right now? Nice to know. To each his/her own. How quickly some fans forget when the Knicks were already 15-18 games out of the 8th seed this deep into the season. Because when's the last time we've been the second seed of the entire Eastern Conference 40 games into the regular season? Still a long ways to go, but Ewing only led us to two division titles during his entire tenure as a Knick. Melo has a chance to lead us to our first division title dating back to 1994, during only his first (full) regular season as a Knick too. You know, the player who you despise and hate with everything you have. Glad to know you're enjoying the NBA with teams such as GS, Houston and Denver though. Because you sure as hell aren't enjoying our Knicks.

Wrong. GS and especially Houston nor Denver can defend. Which is why they'll have next to zero chance what so ever come postseason play. These three teams can not keep teams from scoring at the end of the night. The Warriors only rank 21st in points allowed. Denver is even worse ranked 25th in points allowed and Houston ranks dead last in points allowed per game. No chance (what so ever) against either OKC, SA, LAC or even Memphis come postseason play. I'll honestly be shocked if Houston makes the playoffs and stunned if Denver makes it as anything better than the 7th/8th seed. You can point to FG% all you like, but at the end of the night, the scoreboard is all that matters. And teams such as GS, DEN and HOU just can't seem to stop opposing teams from scoring the rock.

Definitely going to try and find a way to watch the Lakers/Jazz game. At home if the Lakers play the way they have been its going to get nasty.

http://www.ysr1560.com/sean-pendergast/calvin-murphy-lin-needs-the-ball-in-his-hands-8202/

Calvin Murphy calls out McHale.

Good questions from John Granato and Sean Pendergast. Some quotes from Calvin Murphy:

Granato: What happened from that time where Jeremy Lin was getting it to right now?

The problem I feel that Jeremy Lin is having when he's on the floor with James Harden, who of course is a hell of a player in his own right... Jeremy Lin is a point guard and the point guard has got to have the ball. Well, what you're having in this stretch is I believe too much monopolizing on the part of James Harden controlling the ball, where it's putting Jeremy Lin in the position of the two-guard, and that's not what he plays. Jeremy Lin is at his best when he is the orchestrator of the offense, and as of late it hasn't happened.

Pendergast: Calvin, is Jeremy just too passive from that standpoint?

It's not about (Jeremy) being too passive. It's about whoever is calling the shots for the team, and that would be Kevin McHale, making it known that Jeremy has got to have the ball in his hands.

Granato: If you take it out of James Harden's hands, that's the guy that you're building the franchise around, is he going to be able to be as effective?

He's a two-guard. What does a two-guard do? He finishes the play. I played both positions when I was in the pros. I was a point guard when I first came in (and) I moved over to the two-guard, so he's the finisher. What he's got to do is be able to finish without having the ball in his hands for eight seconds.

Granato: Patrick Patterson and his role. He seems to be another guy who is getting less time and less production. What are we going to see out of that four position for the Rockets?

If the Rockets are going to win, they're going to have to get something out of the four position, be it Patterson or Morris, and there's not enough productivity out of that position between the two of them. Now, depending on matchup situations, Patterson needs to get more inside play. He's a hell of a player, by the way. I don't think that he's seen enough of the ball when he's down low. What he's done is he's become the new era of big forwards. He's taken it out to the perimeter and he hasn't been shooting well, so his defender is not coming out with him. So if he's not shooting and not rebounding, you've got a position that's wasted.

I remember when people were claiming Jermey Lin could play very well off the ball. Hopefully he picks it up. Also, I would put the ball more in Lin hands because although it is probably keeping his TOs fairly low Harden TOs are super high and his shooting has sucked recently minus the last game. If what you are doing as a coach is not working yo have to try something different and put your players in the best positions to create team wins.

Glad that's not our problem. What kind of all-star finds it difficult to play off of a player having an MVP season???

It's one thing to say you aren't maximized and another to stinking up the join.

I'll be watching/switching between these four games tonight.

A.) Heat vs Pistons.
B.) Nets @ Grizzlies.
C.) Bulls vs Warriors.
D.) Celtics @ Hawks.

Would love to see all three of the Heat, Nets and Bulls lose. May not happen, but it's worth a watch and hope.

I'll also be pulling for the Celtics over the Hawks tonight. I want more than the Atlantic, as a fan, I want the East. As of right now, the Hawks are only 3 games behind our Knicks while Boston is 7 games behind our Knicks. A large enough difference to pull against the Hawks tonight.

The game that I'll watch the most (unless it's a blowout) is Miami and Detroit. A Miami loss and we're only one game behind Miami for the #1 seed.

A Nets loss would have the Knicks 3 games (in the loss column) ahead of Brooklyn. Pretty confident that Memphis will murder BK tonight too.

I really wish the Knicks were playing tonight, but tonight could make for a great night of basketball.
