Also Timmy leaned in to make contact that is a no call.

Josh got fouled on the play too - loose ball foul not called

I know even the announcer when the first shot was missed, “Harris Fouling”

I'm admittedly rough on Kal, but bro has to grab that rebound and we arent even talking about the call. This after he tipped the jump ball right to a 3 pt shooter last game. Fall on the ball and call timeout! Lol

Celtics do not look as dominant as last year. I’m actually glad we would match up with them versus CLE next round.

Harris mugged the guy under the hoop. Only reason ball rolled out

I also think Timmy kicking his body all around backfired on him

Bottom line refs have had no control of any game. They let the **** go. Then they blow the whistle on touch fouls.

Refs are clowns. Silver is a clown.

Fortunately Jalen and KAT have clutch genes.

First off hats off toe Pistons and Cade. Im really impressed with his game and demeanor. Loved when he shoved his boy Holland away and yelled at him. Dude is super chill and goes about his business. He is about opposite of Eveything I disliked about watching Jalen rose when he played.
Bickerstaff is all over the place and very animated but he got that team playing to its capacity. Pistons don't have nearly the talent knicks have and are playing us tough.

Pistons fans acting like they they had not done **** in years. They have not and the just all over hyped.
The call. Shit happens. Knicks are earning some respect by refs and while there was contact, Hardaway flaying about like did not help.

But.........

Knicks won a tough game on the road!
Knicks came up big when they had to.
KAT had a moment. This was missing from his knick resume and why many been pining for DDV.
Bernard king had his moments.
Unfortunately Melo never had his.
KAT got one.
Big game? Not really. not a must win and we don't have this series done yet. But it for sure showed he has the stones for the moment and did something special tonite!

Same for Bridges. Big shots and an huge block.

Great day and Capt Crunch was all that!!

I don't think anyone can say the refs are trying to do us favors after the **** show in game 2. Both teams have major gripes with the officiating. So I guess, that means the refs are calling the game fairly. Not good necessarily, but fair. But the fact that Hardaway and Harris are the guys being counted to make that shots says a lot. The talent and experience isn't where it needs to be. Detroit reminds me of the Knicks in that series against Atlanta.

It definitely was a big game for us. We are now at 95% probability historically of winning the series instead of coming back to the Garden tied and the series becoming best of 3

I suspect the refs will bring out their whistles for the next game. That should benefit the Knicks

I said it during the season and again before the series that pistons are one of 3 or 4 teams (Orlando, Houston, and maybe okc) who are over the top on aggressiveness essentially challenging the refs to disrupt the game w many (deserved calls). The aggressiveness gets normalized during the game and before you know it refs lose control, and from the look on their faces, they know they have lost control. E.g., how can I blow the whistle on that one when I didn’t blow it on more deserving infractions. They get frustrated. Players complain and take refs know the complaints are fair so they don’t T them up and the game turns into a mosh pit

Media feeds into it. All kinds of comments this morning how pistons were robbed. Have not seen one mention that the only reason ball rolled out was because Harris mugged, hooked and grabbed Hart under the basket denying him the rebound. Likewise not one mentioned hardaways theatrics during the shot

Refs are clowns so is silver so is media

Off topic from refs: Mitch needs to get his head out of his ass. Not sure what’s up but either he has to be 100% or play precious at 4 or 5. No way we can have Mitch on floor late in game at the moment w his horrendous FT shooting and butter fingers. I’d even consider Ariel if he’s available.

Pistons are at the point where they have to take out their Okoros (Thompson and Holland), because the Knicks are now exploting them since they can't shoot. If Schroeder and Beasley are gonna be out there it negates some of the size advantage they have. Rebounding still a problem for us, but I feel like we're letting the ball go through our hands a lot.

Agree on Mitch. He's a goner this off-season for sure. Knicks will need to retool pretty much everybody outside of the 5 starters. Precious would probably be a better option at this point especially considering Mitch isn't really impacting the boards all that much.

I also agree on what you are saying regarding the refs being unable to control these uber physical games. That said, I actually like how the game was refereed yesterday. Let em play. Force them to actually use their God given basketball skills and the art of the mid range instead of plowing through multiple guys at the rim seeking contact.

I am eager to see the L2M report because there were probably dozens of no calls and on that final play alone there was a Harris foul and a Harris out of bounds that preceded the Timmy shot.

Mitch I thought in his first shift looked active on the glass. However he was missing those FTs almost 6-12 inches short and probably didn't have the motor given he was under the weather.

I have to be honest, when people on this board suggest Precious should play, I wonder if they watched the last 2-3 months of the year, because 80% of the time he was unplayable. I'd consider him for a defensive possesion, but I have no confidence in him. I'd rather see Hukporti out there if you need size / physicality.

Brunson averaging about 33 and 9 this series...

He has been incredible in the 4th, but I feel like he's still maybe a notch below the level of play he normally sits at. I'm hoping we see another level from him still.

He pulled the strings perfectly at the end of this game. He missed that layup late a little uncharacteristically (tough look, but he has made so many of those that it shocks you when that happens), but he made truly elite difficult shots without and didn't even go to the line late.
