I have said this many times but Martin years ago privately in an email to chill once or twice. This was in the Isiah days and in the early days of forums we were all very a bit out there. Basically it was "either get in line or get banned". This was not me "policing" btw. It was graphic. In retrospect it was really funny.
But the choice was "abide or be banned". Martin gives folks choices before banning. In simple terms its self banishment.
This is our first intervention but would I be wrong if I might have read in the past posts were you felt your not treated fairly?

I don't fact check every day. Read my posts I mostly talk about hoop. The few that are problematic with me are those who accuse me of arrogance as if they don't like getting called out.
State it as opinion and even if its dumb its ones personal take and it stands on its own. Projecting ones personal values to a situation and insinuation how that player fees is not an opinion unless stated.

Arrogance works both ways. In this instance we have a poster who openly suggests a player employed by the knicks looks about the same so he suggests he hire a personal trainer or go to prep school. That not arrogant? No basis or anything to why.

Martin does not pay me. Some posters get upset when called out on facts and don't like it. Thats when "who made you boss" comments occur. Why does Nalod do this? Common courtesy, and mutal respect.
This place has been around a long time and succeeds. The guys that got banned or left when upset usually take things a bit too personal. This is why I use Nalod as a third person. Its my persona here and only here. Nalod comes to the UK to exchange ideas and learn. Not digest regurgitated crap.
Good or bad its not cool to have an opinion but pass stupidity as fact we all should want better than that and most of the posters here catch it and by doing so we collectively elevate the conversation. But don’t think the question is whether he can hit some shots. More so, can he do so at an elite rate. Because, what else can he do that will be better than all the hundreds of others looking to make an NBA rotation. For me, he has to improve his defense and have more of an attack mindset. Don’t want to take away his great vision and passing ability but unfortunately this is a scores/shooters league. Think his ceiling and what he should imitate is TJ McConnell. Which would be really good. Considering Kolek has the potential to have a better 3pt shot.

I think TJ has a faster twitch to his game with he uses to create space. Pehraps Tony Parker and our Very own Brunson are also good models as there superior fundamental footwork was used to create spece. Kolek needs to get that shot down. I'd be curious if he has changed it a bit as that college tape he looks more like Cam Payne's (not as weird) release.

Pehraps all this talk is based expectation he was to be more ready given his age and apparent polish. Second round picks don't get 3-4 years. If he was 20 he'd have gone in the first round? He is 24, will be 25 in march. On a win now team more minutes has to be contriubory not developmental. If he does not crack the rotation this year he should ask for a trade or release and land with a team that might give him a better opportunity. I thought he was given a fair chance early last seaosn and again later besides junk time minutes.
He gets it done in the Gleague. He is close.
