You take the 18 foot jump shot out of KP’s repertoire and put him on the same shooting chart as Randle was using to start the season and you have a player as good or better than Markannen. The only question is IF he is coachable. https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/lauri-markkanen-shot-chart-by-season https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/kristaps-porzingis-shot-chart-by-season If you track KP by season, his shot chart is improving. Now the key thing for me in that Shot Chart is that he is best from the 3 point line behind the top of the key. This means that you 1) are pulling a big out of the paint, 2) have a big man back on defense. This is what Brook Lopez is for Giannis. Let Zingis be this for Randle and let Randle ball out. Injury, cost, attitude(?) are all reasons not to do this. But if I am looking for the argument why it makes sense to make it work, it’s because he is 7’3 with a 7’6 wingspan that historically shot 35-40% from 3 at the top of the key. That’s archetype player you want for Brunson and Randle to do their thing in the half-court set. Add two 3&Ds that can move without the ball and the ability to complete a swing pass and you have the team I am looking for. You know I gonna spin wit it
