Love the Draft picks we received, the cap space and a young, explosive pg in Smith. Not sure what we do with Jordan. We cant let him and Matthews mess up our draft order that we worked so hard for...Again, I'm a fan of the trade.

Im hearing we may cut Jordan and Matthews

Hope not- remember we still plan on dumping kanter, we need some players still on the roster, and I think Wes Mathews is a nice vet to have around.

Can someone clarify- was trey Burke in the trade? Nearly all the tweets don’t list him, but one did.

This deal is obviously because they think they can get 2 stars this summer, which I don't really believe. But from a value perspective...this deal is incredibly horrific. Basically an assortment of mediocre pieces for a potential franchise player.

West is deep, no guarantee they will be successful nor is it a guarantee that KP will resemble the guy that had that one good month for us...

With that much competition in the West.....Dallas will have a hard time making the playoffs. Also how does KP get multiple all star starter selections out of this.

Even if KD moves to East this summer, Warriors are still way better than Dallas with KP and Doncic, AND...doesn't this ultimately become KD's team if he signs with us? If another max signs...that lineup plus Knox plus 2019 first round pick...hey we could make some noise...what was our noise potential with KP? Pretty great IF he came back 100%. We need to draft well to even out this trade.

A potential superstar who has trouble staying on the court, hasnt made an all-star team. Still had work to do on rounding out his game. Whose shelf life as a star might be limited because of his height, frame. I dont blame KP for wanting to leave, he probably has only so many years at peak performance. Didnt like how he let his brother run his mouth as much as he did.

We get DSJ. If he can play well enough to make an all-star team, and run the show, its worth it.
Dont know how long the other players will stick, or of they are even in the team's plans. Like that we got Matthews though.

If we get a high pick, I trust Perry to make a good one. If we have two high picks, when was the last time we had that? Never. I like that. One more shot at Zion.

This is the kind of deal, as others have mentioned that has to be followed up with big time FA signings if the Knicks want to make a run in the next couple of years. We have youth, picks, cap room. The table is set, up to Perry amd Mills to cook up something good.

Glad to see you back...

Thanks

Good to see you back Gustav!!

Word, was concerned for his health due to the disappearance.

Thanks, got a lot on my plate, and this season was clearly being flushed for Zion. Dont mind at this point. Wish Fizdale was more focused on ball movement during the tank, however. He can do both.

I think I like this deal now. I think we made a reverse McDyess trade. Read this:

"Durability was a major issue with Porzingis even back to Jackson’s days. Porzingis missed 10 games his rookie year, 16 his second season, 34 last year and the first 50 games of this season. Porzingis admitted himself there’s no documentation of a 7-3 player returning from ACL surgery in the NBA."

It's been reported Porzingis told the Mavs he would only sign the QO, which was probably what he intended to do with the Knicks anyway, which in turn scared the Knicks, who knew already there was trouble in paradise with Janis and Porzingis.

I mean, this only shows Porzingis seems to have a set plan that might not even include the Mavs.

True. He can walk after signing the 1 year QO. If that happens then this deal can be huge for us now and the future

Imagine if after next season he says bye bye Mavs, hello Knicks!

Me too. Obviously we still need to crush our offseason but getting those firsts made it better for me

Was always wondering how long KP will stay with NY and new FO.
Dallas, Cuban, Dirk, Carlisle, Donicic, KP...
Clear European connection.
People who are alike always gravitate to each other.
This FO wants all organization to be picked by them and have people of similar cultural background.
This is understandable.
But this will bring 100% accountability when all is said and done.
It will be interesting to see how job will be done from scratch here.

I wish Kanter would chill, but given everything that is going on his life, his family in Turkey, his issues with the president of Turkey, his own career. Thats a lot to deal with.

Kanter wears his heart on his sleeve, most of the time thats a good thing. Right now Enes would do himself some good if he cut down on the drama. Best chance of getting sent somewhere decent.

I sympathize with Kanter over the Turkey situation and i was a big fan of his since he came here but he has rubbed me the wrong way with his actions recently. I understand he has a lot on his plate but still needs to chill

Can we stop with this jedi mind trick theory that Dallas trick us into drafting Frank? Totally illogical.
