Wish he would just get traded already. Lets see what mess of bad contracts we'll get and what future draft picks we'll be giving up.

There isn't a fall-guy in place yet.

honestly there are a lot of teams that could use a stretch 4/5 like Ryan Anderson, he just surely doesnt fit with our roster, especially when we got our undrafted 2 way contract......

Teams like Kings, Orlando, OKC, could use him, IMO

maybe even a team like the Bucks for Greg Monroe/Filler

There were so many teams that had players with not fully guaranteed contracts that coulda have jumped in like CJ Watson, with easy buyouts to use that could facilitate a trade
Maybe certain teams just dont want to assist a team in their conference or help Houston/NYK

I think they are wasting too much time trying tho figure pout which third team to use and they risk losimg interest from those teams. Denver, Portland etc are in the mix
I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only try to make them think - Socrates

Mills and Co are pretty indecisive when it comes to trades- remember when he tried to offload Shump at the deadline and failed, the failed Rubio trade, etc

That's an interesting pure guess entirely out of thin air.

I think it's reasonable to say that the longer you wait, the more the chance of a deal falling apart.

Correct - its based on how deals between corporations are negotiated and how they generally fall apart if allowed to fester.

One of the hold-ups to this trade might be that if Cameron Oliver or Zhou Qi is included in this trade, they can't be traded until 30 days after they're signed as draft picks

Just to be fair though sometimes deals fall apart because they were bad deals. We have no idea if there's actually disagreement at this point -- i.,e. "festering", or whether in fact there is and has been a deal but for whatever reason the teams have been in no rush to announce it

Good point. I was wondering if it had something to do with taxes, or perhaps availability for a press conference, but your point makes more sense (same is true if a third team is leveraging a recent draft signee)

Often deals have a momentum and when its dead, its dead.
We have not heard that. Teams like to end rumors quickly for many reasons. Nobody is doing that.
Does that mean a deal is done. Likely. There could be more deals contingent on this one that also have to get ironed out.
So the dominoes may finally fall soon enough. If not, we can direct our rage on Mills.

It could be as simple as Melo asking for some time to make a decision. Melo has the NTC so it's on his timeline
