Woodson had a slow up feed Melo offense. Speed ball has more defensive stops it has to make as the other team gets the ball more often. Remeber St. Johns coach Carnesseca slow ball game in College. Held team to low point totals by slowing game down.

Good point. I guess that we seemed so much more committed to playing tough, tenacious defense three years ago and we've completely lost any semblance of that mentality.

Shump and Smith were under rated as defenders. We also had Kidd who defended well. Not 100 but think we had some good role defenders.

Yeah, Willy is more a traditional lane filling big. I think Rose understands how to find guys like that better. The KP comfort might come in time... though I doubt they'll play long enough for that to happen.

yet Towns can do both. That's not a knock on KP really but he needs to get comfortable knowing when to roll and and when to pop. For some it takes time.

Rose used to work a PnP with Gasol all the time. He just has to decide to do the same with KP.

KP doesn't really set good picks in the pick and pop. He needs to work on that.

Yeah, Lance was just never healthy all year with the foot thing and then the broken orbital bone. He was one of our best defenders and last year had a reliable J. He was definitely missed this year.

Rose used to work a PnP with Gasol all the time. He just has to decide to do the same with KP.

KP doesn't really set good picks in the pick and pop. He needs to work on that.

KP does need to improve but that's not why Rose hasn't been passing to him on PnP scenarios. I think Rose simply hasn't worked with him enough to get chemistry with him.
