My luck has to improve eventually.

It's not easy being a huge Knick and Guns N' Roses fan.

Sometimes I wish I played it a little safer with
The Lakers & U2.

Guess I'm a gluten for punishment lol

1. GNR reuniting
2. Flying to Vegas to see GNR's first 2 reunion shows
3. Misfits reuniting

Lows in order from most recent:
1. Getting hit by a car despite crossing in the crosswalk and receiving a ridiculous jaywalking ticket because I was too out of it to give an accurate recollection of what happened to the worthless cop as I laid in the ambulance on a stretcher with a neck brace. Head split open. Fortunately all ct scans were negative but now I got all the legal **** to deal with.

2. Getting rear ended by a drunk driver who then proceeded to assault me in Jersey City. Another fine example of lazy police work. Report only mentioned the accident. Nothing about the assault despite 50 eye witnesses about 20 JC & Port Authority cops on the scene. Cameras everywhere being that it happen near the Newport Path.

3. Mom suffers a heart attack 6yrs after the stoke. Spends 5months in the hospital and rehab. Doesn't take her first steps without help til month 4. Put everything into perspective for me that's for sure. She's home and doing great now. Stringer every day. Being home definitely speeds up the rehab. Gotta credit the surgeon. Just amazing I'm forever in debt to him. 2 days 13 hours of wait, agony followed by extreme fear and exhilaration.

4. Father been living with prostrate cancer was suppose to have surgery to retify. Was scheduled to get further tests done to make sure the cancer didn't spread to bones and organs. I never found out what the results were. Next thing you know he went back to Brazil. It's been over 3yrs and I'm afraid he's resigned to the illness. If you saw the new Rocky then you know what scene hit home for me. Doctor told him when going through the options who knows he may live another 10yrs without doing anything. My dad in his way laughed and told him 10yrs? Heck I'll take it. Unfortunately I'm starting to get the feeling he wasn't joking.

Anyway no one said life was easy. Just trying all I possibly can to make thinks right again

sorry to hear that guns! I hope things turn around. I lost a parent a couple of years ago and watching the suffering has changed me forever.

Sorry to hear that mreinman. Man it really does put everything into perspective. Up until this year I've been remarkably lucky. Never been in an ambulance. Now I've been in one twice in less than a year

Yup ... life is scary.

I was rushed to the hospital a few months ago and they where certain I was having a massive heart attack. They kept me overnight but it was a big false alarm. Turned out to be a esophageal spasm which if bad enough can feel like a serious heart attack ... crazy sh1t ... scary as hell, especially for wife and kids.

Crap esophageal spasm/cramp sounds horrifying! I didn't even know what was a thing. Surely you'd easily mistake it for a heart attack

I never heard of it either and then found out the hard way. Then I was telling my uncle what happened and he said that he had the exact same thing. Weird ...

My grandmother passed away from esophageal cancer. I was having really bad acid reflux and ended up getting an endosopy done just to be on the safe side. So I'm always weary of my esophagus

Yea alcohol is not kind to the digestive track as I found out the hard way. Some are uneffected with others it's almost like your body is allergic to alcohol

interesting that you use the word allergic ... alcohol addiction and the need to drink more and more after the first drink is actually now considered an allergy where you need to keep itching with another drink

Only the Knicks will make you feel happy about Hornacek over Vogel/Blatt/Thibodeau because of the fact that it would have actually been Rambis as head coach.

Hornacek is not a bad coach but he wasn't the best available on the market. And if the Triangle wasn't a big deal, as it supposedly isn't anymore, then that says a lot more about Phil then it does anything else. You have to question if he was ultimately told by Dolan to move forward without a full Trisngle offense. It would make sense to do so, since he will not be around much longer. But if that's he case, why didn't we go after better coaches?

Obviously you should be in charge. You know who are the better coaches and seem to have it all figured out! I suggest you write a letter to Mr. Dolan and tell him your excellent ideas. You can use me as a reference if it helps your candidacy

What was the point of this post?

that your negativity and self-righteousness are irritating. Frankly Isola and Berman do a better job with the same message

COME ONE KNICKS FANS - IF THE IMMORTAL TONY WROTEN GOT 30 PAGES, THEN WE CAN GIVE OUR NEW COACH AT LEAST 20!!!
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Wow, this makes me want to go track down some Wroten material. I don't think his thread's even near Forum page 5 now...

If Hornacek fails in year one, it will be Melo's fault. Book it now.

Jeff is not gonna fail in NY. Not as long as we improve the guards as I suspect we will. We have a quality Frontcourt and really would have a complete team with a couple of quality additions IMO. I'm not saying the team will be a title team, so don't misread what i'm saying. I do think this team can have a winning record under Jeff as long as we upgrade the guard and wing spots with the right players.

We should all have an idea of who the RIGHT players would be. Obviously any healthy Dynamic Guards that can hit the 3, breakdown a D and get inside is gonna be an improvement. Just looking at the Draft prospects the Knicks have been looking at indicates the Knicks are hunting for those kinds of players.

Self righteous? Do you even understand the definition of that?

Your post is a joke. The Knicks have been a joke for almost 2 decades. Yet you're mad at me for my 'negativity'. You're right. I am the reason the Knicks have been bad. I take full responsibility.

And I don't pay attention to nixluva, who has never had one bad thing to say about anyone who ever has been on the Knicks. Be it Isiah, Bargnani, JR, Dolan, Curry, Son Chaney, Herb Williams, Fisher, Rambis, Sundov, Janison Brewer, Amundson, etc.

Just because you're a fan doesn't mean you can't point out the negatives. And there's so many negatives.

If you read nixluva' posts the last 15 years you would think we are the San Antonio Spurs.

WTF? Why are you bringing me into your spat? Also just so you know i've openly trashed AA as a recent example. I may not fixate on negatives but I do express my displeasure with players when I think they aren't doing the right thing.

Can he be the catalysts that leads to wins? Even tonights game was more about the role players once again doing their thing. Just look at the +/- stats and you can see that it's the same guys that helped create Linsanity.

Agreed; the last 3 games have been a lot of fun but as long as Chandler and Lin are our top 2 players, we'll have a limited ceiling.

I've knocked Knicks coaches over the years as well. I don't start off ragging on new players or coaches. I allow them to play 1st. I went on record as saying I preferred Vogel or Blatt to Rambis. As i've said I just don't fixate on the negative but rather look at the positives a player or coach could bring. Everyone knows this but i'm not Someone who NEVER says anything negative about the team.
