Same as Golden State as Curry went off with a Michael Jordan type of flu performance of #23's golden years. We found a way to escape with a win. Now here we are against a blazing hot Wizards team. The ideals aren't perfect. On the road, against a team that's gone 7-3 over their previous 10 games, wins over the Clippers, Knicks, Nuggets, Rockets, Nets etc. But here we are, up two with 2:30 remaining after heading into the 4th quarter trailing.
And as I'm typing, Melo drains a 3. Up 5.
With all due respect this is a a game which the knicks should win easily. the warriors were missing lee and were tired so the knicks should win those games. If they win Sunday that will show a lot about this team and where they are headed. I love the Knicks just as much as you but i try to be as honest as i can
Yea, but all fans are different. We just did something in which LAC, us, Brooklyn, Denver and Houston failed to do during their previous 10 games... Knock off the Wizards. These guys were 7-3 coming into tonight as the home team.
I don't need to look to Sunday's game against Miami, because I know we can compete against the elites such as Miami and San Antonio. 4-0 against those two contenders. 15 games above .500. 2nd place of the Eastern Conference 55 games into the regular season. I believe, in the bottom of my heart, that the best has yet to come with our Knicks basketball team. Jason Kidd stated after our 6th or 7th game, that the regular season is only a dress rehearsal for this current Knicks team. Player such as Shumpert (returning from a serious-serious injury) Kidd (aging), Stoudemire (returning from injury), Kurt Thomas (aging), Rasheed (aging), Camby (aging), Melo and Tyson (both must be healthy/playing strong come postseason play) etc, etc.
Man, this team is going to pour it's heart and soul out come playoff basketball. The playoff intensity that our men will play with, may become something that the leagues not ready for. Shumpert going full blast while putting his career on the line? Stoudemire doing the same? Melo performing? Guards such as Felton, J.R, Kidd, Pablo and Shump all being ready for war? Veteran toughness throughout that locker room? BIG's such as Amar'e, Kenyon, Kurt Thomas, now Marcus Camby and Tyson Chandler brining their tool box for some playoff basketball?
Nah, I don't think we've seen anything yet. Only signs of things to come. Come playoff basketball? Man, coach Woodson is going to unleash this team.
