Hubie Brown is another basketball mind that thinks Lin is a very good true PG. Listen to his interview in the Michael Kay show before the Laker game.

Jeremy Lin had a hot streak then proceeded to score 20 pts on 20+ shots then excuses arise. Oh he's tired. Oh guys were missing shots. Oh the refs didn't give him calls. Welcome to life as an NBA PG.

Not to mention the guy was playing for his contract. Let's not pretend like Lin didn't have a financial incentive to perform before the Feb 5th deadline. He obviously has proven he is no NBA scrub but that is about it.

Once again you dont' need excuses for wins.

“(Lin has) really changed the mind-set and mentality of this team,” Chandler said. “We were really struggling and fighting the offense, and you get a point guard in here and the way he’s distributing the ball — he’s doing a lot of scoring, but the thing is it’s just what the defense is giving him. He’s making the right decision. Because of that the offense is flowing and it’s giving a lot of guys confidence. A lot of guys have benefited from him.”

The point guard and the two stars all have adjustments to make.

“We just need to find a way to quickly come together and continue riding this momentum. If we all come together it’s crazy. We don’t know how good we can be. The potential is there though for sure.” - Jeremy Lin

So Chandler stated what many already knew. Our PGs were garbage. Shumperts PG skills are clearly lacking as well.

you do realize that shumpert isn't really a pg he is more of a 2 guard and he can play the 3 as well.

Oh so now he's good for the money. Holy frijoles. Well if that's the case, he way overdid it, because nobody since the NBA/ABA merger, which I remember, has done what he did in his first 4 starts. So the money apparently means more to him than to anyone else. This gets funnier and funnier. Sorry you are missing the fun this has been.

this idea that Lin is not a point guard because he can score is ridiculous. he runs the pick and roll and reads the defense correctly. if the pass is there for the big, he passes, if the defense is staying home, he drives to the rim. the high point totals are because MDA runs so many PnRs and because this team has VERY few scoring options with melo and stat out. the turnovers are high, but the kid is the focal point of the offense and opposing defense.

his scoring is inflated and will likely go down with stat and melo coming back. but his assists might go up. maybe then he'll be a point guard?

in any case, debating what Lin is or actually complaining about anything he did in this week seems like a massive exercise in robbing yourself of inspiring basketball. the kid plays basketball. he inspires his teammates and finds them open shots and leads the team to wins. how is anyone, ANYONE, complaining about this?

How can you call being on every facet of your game against the likes of Deron Williams, Utah, Derek Fisher, etc. a "hot streak"? Do you know how twisted that sounds? Then 20pts on 20 plus shots is your justification? Seriously, I never pick on posters, but your logic skips me. Except to say that you fail to see the beauty in it all.

Playing for his contract? LOL - Yeah, that will make a pg with mostly backups suddenly have better athleticism than Deron Williams and score 38 pt's against the lakers and suddenly be able to shoot it.

Seriously, the guy just broke records that includes the greatest of all time, led his team to 5 straight victories with backups and all you can say is he is no scrub?

That post of yours is a riot of a post and looks more like denial via a life full of pain than anything else. And if it was just one post than that would be somewhat forgivable, but you have made a career out of it.

What are you going to say if Lin keeps up the good play? "Well, of course he can get assists with Stat and Melo! Of course he can score with those guys on the court, he is getting no attention!" LOL, really, thanks for the entertainment.

its funny some people are down on lin now because he had an off shooting night despite the fact that he still had 20 pts 8 assists, 6 boards and 4 steals. also he once again got us the lead/win. The kid has played so many minutes the past week that he is not used to also traveling on a back to back against a great defender in rubio isn't easy as at all.

Lol at anubis. You always need that black to the white and he is playing this role.

Nash dropped a ton of poinots with 20+ point games regularly. But he did it in the flow, like Lin, so there is bo question of his point guard purity.

Reason number 6

6. "He's allowing other Knicks to find their true selves. Steve Novak has been an end-of-the-bench guy all year; with Lin, he's Reggie Miller all of a sudden. Landry Fields has struggled to fit into a Carmelo-led Knicks offense; with Lin, he's the pogo-hoppy cutter we all fell in love with last season. Jared Jeffries has been a fan punching bag for years now; with Lin, he's not only still a defensive maestro, he's driving to the basketball and even hitting open jumpers. Iman Shumpert had been an ill-fitting, wild, undisciplined fake point guard; with Lin, he's a slap-defense terror with explosive athleticism and even a little clutchy-ness to his game. Tyson Chandler ... well, he's been as great as he has been all year, but he's smiling a lot more now. If Lin can get Toney Douglas unbroken, he'll officially be a magician."
