The goal should be to at least get to 80, the way they're going they may not get to 70. 54 points with 9 mins to go is shameful.

Nope we did our part to overreact to those as well.

It is a bit of an over reaction but this is a horrible performance. Also 3/4 of the previous games were played against bad teams.

Wrong. Bad games are one thing. Playing selfish and undisciplined is another.

Saying "you can't win them all" is a cop out.

You don't know that he wasn't asked to be aggressive tonight. We haven't seen this kid ever act like this. Not to mention that he's usually a very smart guy that knows his role. I have to guess that he was trying to be more of a scorer tonight.

Negative. This is not about blasting the rookie. This game shows lack of coaching. Shumpert forced his game where there was no reason to. This game is evidence that D'Antoni does not have adequate control of this squad.

So now in one game they're not being coached? I just don't prescribe to that kind of thinking. Teams collectively have let down games especially a team that hasn't fully gotten it together yet to begin with. They've been struggling with chemistry all this time. I don't think this is some kind of one game trend!!! If it happens over a period of games then that's something to be concerned about. You can't just go from game to game like that. It's how the team plays over a period of time.

D'Antoni told Aldridge at the half that Shump was trying to solve all of the Knicks problems by himself.

i miss the Shumpert we saw in the second half at Washington - only time i felt he really MOVED the ball. and his highest assist game by FAR.

it's funny, d'antoni begged the NY Media not to prematurely tout shump, the NY media prematurely touted Shump and he went from a guy who was moving the ball with confidence to a guy who was missing shots left and right with confidence.

over conifident, he will see how those chants for shrump...shrump..shrump turn into boos in a heart beat

They'll get it together in the 2nd half.

The coaching staff is at fault for this. No rookie should be shooting 14 shots in a half.

MDA loves that ish tho.

If Melo's out next game, could be a long game against OKC...

Forget the wins and losses. Lack of assists and shot selection have been a problem all season.

The defensive effort has been good.

That's safe to say...especially on national TV, won't win him any new fans outside of NY either.

So in other words, you're sugarcoating the bad as usual and overplaying the good as usual.
