How I would like to stuff him into that trash can and then bang that lid down on his stupid face.

Melo is a God on the court. But it can't be him and stat scoring on their own. Unreal how horrible we play.

When te opposing point guard beats you with one dribble or one screen it throws everything off. Td is a terrible defender..I won't even speak on his offense. Shumpert changed the ame with his energy and defense and at least had the brains to see he was off and continue to feed melo. Td would have chucked up some shots during that run.

This just goes to show you how disruptive it is when you have HORRID PG play. No one gets into a groove and the team loses focus on both ends. Shump made a HUGE difference defensively. Going thru Melo was good and the team actually made good passes. They slowed down the tempo and got good shots and that allowed them to setup the D.

With a big lineup, they don't have the same problems switching on defense. Iman can guard 3 positions, vs TD can't guard any!

TD should never have been given the keys to the family car. Off the bench as a scorer and energy guy. That's his role. Shump isn't a great passer, but at least he can stay in front of his guy.

Absolutely, if you start Shumpert you have him check these stud PG's...stops there penetration, stops opposing team's flow. Prevents these early 16 pt deficits..

This team could be a respectable defense if they played good team D. I have no doubt in them. They need to come together as a team and play team defense. when guys come into the lane traping players at the right team. nicsluva posted an article about the bulls, celtics and miami team defense. They play great team D. It's a system. Now what takes their team to the next level is the talent D. If we had tom thibodeau coaching this team this defense would not give up easy baskets. Would they be number one or two? probably not. But would they be in the top 15 in defense? For sure.

At least he can team into set and pass the ball to melo in deep post..vs passing it off at half court then getting it back..missing the open man then hooting a brick 3.

We are on year four of D'Antoni. Once Isiah moved on the position has been stable. If you think it was partially because Walsh wanted to prove that Hiring D'Antoni then I agree. It will be interesting to see what happens if the team keeps losing with a new gm.

Believe or not, we're going to need Stat & Melo to combine for 70 points+ to win this game. Still don't have a reliable third scorer yet.

This game is about progress. I just want to see the team start to figure things out. The coaching staff and the players. You could see that the right combination allowed the team to get into their defense and it looked good. They've got a LOOOONG way to go, but it's a good sign.

Shump is the truth on D.

This is the problem. It's all about effort. That's what separates guys like Kobe from anyone else even if talent is there. Head HAS TO BE IN THE GAME AT ALL TIMES.
