I approved, even loved, every offseason move the Knicks made last year. Every move.

Now I'm a "whiny bitch" because martin doesn't like to hear opinions louder than his.

The extreme exaggeration by referring to Chandler as "God" was not cool.

Chandler isn't a god, but he fills a MASSIVE need on this team and perfectly compliments Amar'e and Melo. It makes him not a god, but a perfect addition to this team.

Knicks will be over the cap and can still add pieces in the form of the MLE and the like.

And, you think Baron Davis doesn't want to come here now??

Is that supposed to be a good thing?

Haha, I honestly don't know.

But any point guard worth his salt would be licking his chops at the NYK roster right now.

And, frankly, I like Baron better than Chauncey. Baron, if motivated and not taking horrible threes, is a good lead guard. He wouldn't be my first choice, but he'd fit.

Chauncey is the consummate professional who is an actual point guard and not a lazy chucker who plays no defense like Baron Davis, who doesn't play like a true point.

Baron Davis is the PG version of Eddy Curry.

I want to part of him.

Yep, I'm crazy. I don't know my ass from my elbow. Meanwhile I was screaming for Isiah to be fired when people were still sipping the champagne of the Eddy Curry trade. I got the same backlash then. I learn to forgive and forget. But sometimes I need to throw it back at people when they start to insult me, my character and my basketball knowledge.

I thought people here didn't like underperforming losers who play no defense.

Guess I was wrong.

won't be an update until 2pm tomorrow. that's when deals can start happening.

my guess is tyson might report to knicks camp tomorrow if it's official or close.

I've seen a few things announced (unofficially) already. Oden, Prince, Butler...but this one is probably not as straight forward as those....you're probably right about that

Anyone against signing Baron Davis with this roster IS A MORON, When GS UPSET THE MAVS, WHO WAS THEIR PG? BARON
Last yr with the clippers he avg 12.8 and 7
Then with th cavs he avg 13.9 and 6.1
With both teams playing less than 30 mins....
He's not the franchise but would be playing for a contender and tons of pieces to make it happen
And if you needed an extra reasons
02/19/10 vs NYK 16pts 16A
03/04/10 vs NYK 18pts 5A
04/03/10 vs NYK 22pts 6A

yeah, because it's a two-parter. need to move billups/turiaf to create space, then officially sign the guy.

i'm guessing they're going thru scenarios right now to see how to get billups or turiaf traded for cap space and then amnesty the other.

i'm praying this doesn't fall apart.

i mean, i've been doing the same myself. there's a chance we'll know what the plan is before tomorrow at 2pm. but as far as the deal being "official"... can't happen til 2pm at the earliest.

He does not play like a point guard. He is a scoring guard. I don't care about your stats. I am telling you his playing style is not that of a traditional point guard and that is what we need with this team.

Give me Anthony Carter over this guy any day. Dude plays hard every game and gives you defense and solid PG play.

Then again, you want Al Harrington back.

i actually wouldn't mind bringing back Anthony Carter.

maybe take a look at TJ Ford or Jose Calderon.

of course, the talk is gonna be about Baron as an amnesty or Steve Nash in 2012 for the MLE.

I never said i wanted al back, i brought up al, to see if salaries matched up.....
Secondly in a game against us he had 16Assist, seems a bit more than traditional
last yr he avg 13.1, 6.7
chauncey 16.8, 5.4

And you wanting anthony carter over baron davis is very isaiah thomas like, so unless your gonna post something that makes sense, go play in traffic or something

Nah, actually you wanting Baron Davis and Al Harrington on the same team is Isiah Thomas-like.

Anthony Carter would never be a player Isiah would want. He does too many things well.

Anthony carter has never been a difference maker. He's a role player. All he's ever been , all he ever will be.
We are going to lose chauncey in the chandler signing. YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO HAS WATCHED TD RUN PG, HAVE AGREED HE IS NOT A PG..
You have an Amnestied Baron davis who would be coming into a favorable situation, why not pick him up for cheap?

Because he is an older version of Toney Douglas, that's why.

Role players are fine. We don't need any more scorers on this team. Amare and Carmelo is enough firepower.
