Deron is better than Carmelo. Let's be real. He's arguable the best point guard in the NBA.

KG and the "finished" guys do more to help their team win than Carmelo, sorry to say. KG's leadership, toughness and defense is the catalyst for that team. They wouldn't be this good without him. Same for Nash - minus the defense and the addition of playmaking.

I just dawned on me. With the Knicks going on a free fall and the Knuggets playing well, the flip flopping of 1st round picks this summer is going to suck. We can potentially go from 16 to 22.

Playoffs. Gonna matter for both Houston and NY.

LMAO...Whats championship? NIT? Give me a break this was an average team at best. Dont overrate the team just because we stunk for 7 straight years and managed to climb 2 games over .500.

Right. We cashed out high

No we got played rabbit.

So even if we finish with a worse record than Houston- if they miss the playoffs and we back in- there is no swap? Right?

I'll take Paul Pierce over Carmelo. All I see is Pierce sniping all over the court, and the go-to-guy in the 4th. So far, Carmelo, not so much, especially in the 4th.

So you'd take a 33 year player heading towards the end of his career over a 26 year old who is one of the best scorers in the league? Funny considering he was almost headed out of Bean Town until Allen and KG were brough it in.

Papabear Says

Ive been a Knicks fan for 50 years and as a kid it was just fun watching and then the 69 championship and the 73 championship. Now almost 40 years of hard times with the exception of 1994 and 1999. I am a Knicks fan however I just might be like my son and pick another team to root for. When Garnet and Alan came to Boston My son became a Celtics fan I asked how could he do that and he said he was tired of watching the Knicks loose and the drama and he always liked Alan and Garnet and he wanted to be a winner. He said all his live he was backing a looser. the Knicks and it was time for a change.

Melo is top ten...

agreed

While I don't call those guys finished, I am aboard this train. There is a tendency to want to over rate players on other teams.

I think he's better than Amare too.

Its funny, Melo didn't carry denver, but Nash carried Phoenix and Dirk carried Dallas. Yeah those teams didn't have any talent. Dallas was doing fine when DIrk was out.

Paul Pierce can dissappear for stretches, he's playing with 2 HOFers and a sick cast of role players.

Melo could easily play the role PP is playing in Boston, even better, because he's a more complete offense player.

If we have a worse record than them but make the playoffs, Houston automatically is in the lotto.

What is scary right now is that we might miss the playoffs (very unlikely) and they make the playoffs, then that switch would really suck. If both of us make the playoffs it's not so bad, but still sucks to swap (aka Stephen Curry syndrome).

Best case scenario is that we miss the playoffs and through a miracle of God we win the lottery. (only if we get the 1st pick do we not swap). But with our luck we'd get number 2.
