The name sake... he looks like pops... and he plays very hard.

If I were to have a 15th man scrub on the team it'd be him.

If you gave me a real choice on the matter I guess I'd take Marcus Landry back over anyone from the SL team. Second would probably be Fields. Third would absolutely be Ewing Jr. Rautins and Jordan are horrible...and the other guys on the team aren't worth much either. Powell has a little intrigue because he seems tough, yet, now we're getting into players who would never see the light of day and would merely be bodies to be used in practice over the course of the season.

When you get in that territory you go with Ewing Jr. Again, plays hard, has the namesake, isn't absolutely horrible, and would do just fine as a 15th man used in practices.

I'd rather give Ewing Jr the minimum salary than JJ5 or Rottens.

JJ5? Jermain Jackson, Jared Jeffries, Jared Jorden, Jerome James.... James Jordan. Yep, JJ5.

And everybody got on me, when suggesting to keep Isiah as a scout....

The only good players Isiah drafted were David Lee, Wilson Chandler and Trevor Ariza. Forget about Nate. Not even worth discussing.

His drafting in NY was mediocre at best with Channing Frye, Renaldo Balkman, Mardy Collins, Demetris Nichols, and Nate Robinson.

Plus this guy will never accept being a scout. His ego is too big for it. Having him in the organization will be poision. He will undermine the current regime since he is so close to James Dolan.

Frye just got paid big by the suns and is the leading 3pt shooting big man in the league. Nate was a solid pick even though he is not there mentally. Getting an Allstar with the 30th pick is huge. IT was better than mediocre at drafting. He certainly was not perfect, but his drafting record would compare favorable with most teams in the league and is probably better than most teams consistently picking in the 20s.

Childs2Dudley - can you visualize 6'11 Channing Frye playing a valuable role on this Knicks roster?

I certainly can

At this point he'd be doing what Rautins was supposed to do... so yea I can see him doing good on this team.

Rose is not the answer.

They don't show things too far ahead. They have been pretty consistent with the SL games so far, although I will watch on MSG today.

when wil we stop hearing that isiah was such a draft guru
none of the players he drafted are stars..u may like frye but he could have had bynum or granger much better players
then he drafted ronaldo balkman cause he was afraid phoenix wanted him with the next pick..with that pick pho. took and then traded rondo to the celts..how would the knicks be with granger and rondo 2 legit stars..hmmm

Walker's offense is a lot better today but his defense is just as bad as normal. That should be a real concern.

Did I just hear Mike D say during the SL game against Detroit that all three drafted players will probably make the team baring any trades?!?
I dont like what Im seeing in Rautins so far!!!
JJ is an okay project and Fields does look good though...

The funny thing is that prior SL teams faced tougher teams with more talent in my opinion. I would think it should be a lot easier for them.

just watched first half of today's SL game vs Detroit.

Man, Fields is one smooth cat. Knows what he is doing out there and backs it up with skill, athleticism. Good pick.

I like Bill. I think he'll be okay.

He knows what he has to work on, plus he admitted his new weight has given him a new quickness that he is still adjusting to.

atleast you can say he's active and not letting the action come to him. fouls or not, this is the best jordan has looked so far in the summer-league.

If Jerome Jordan was 7 feet tall and ready to play in the NBA he would've been a top 15 pick. Expecations have to be realistic at this point.
