I dont think Fredette wouldve made it passed 18 at worst in this draft.

was actually thinking about picking him up with WAS's final pick but decided a G backcourt mate to replace Arenas would be more important than a backup PG for John Wall... didn't know he had pulled himself out of the draft.

i like the idea of giving out grades for the picks made... here's a few of mine (nothing personal towards whoever made them):

Best Player Pick: John Wall (hard to go wrong with a #1 overall pick, but this kid really strikes me as a future superstar & IMHO will be the best player taken out of this draft)

Best Value Pick: Al-Farouq Aminu at #12 (i had him as a top 5 pick easily in terms of talent & ability... great value at #12... i think he's gonna be a nightmare matchup at the NBA level for other teams trying to guard him... can lead the break like a G, rebounds & has postgame like a PF, shoots like a SF)

Biggest Reach: Jarvis Varnado at #23 (i just think he could have easily been picked up later in the 2nd round)

Biggest Sleeper Pick: Elliot Williams at #24 (with Joe Johnson likely leaving the ATL this summer & Jamal Crawford likely gone after next year, he should get plenty of opportunities to shine on that team in the coming years)

Biggest Headscratcher: SAC taking Greg Monroe at #5 (they're pretty much set at the PF & SF positions with Thompson & Casspi for the longterm future... personally i think they would have been much better served taking DeMarcus Cousins at that pick to compete with the bigger, more physical lineups they will have to face in their conference... i know they have Hawes but he's not the bruiser inside that Cousins is... anyway having 2 big guys like that inside would not be a bad thing when you have to play teams like the Lakers on a regular basis)

Varnado wouldn't have been around when Sota had their pick in the second round at 45. You had him on your Big Board at pick 30 TMS as did others I'm quite positive of this. I needed shot blocking

yeah i sorta figured you didn't want to risk him not being there at #45... i'm not really knocking ur reasoning behind the pick, only the place where he was picked seemed sorta high for him based on his rankings on draft boards & such.

Thats funny that they moved Zoubek to 41 for the Heat today. For 5 minutes I actaully made Zoubek pick 41 and changed it to Jordan--Ill have to wonder about that it seems like NBA teams might like Zoubeks body and rebounding ability. I just think Jordan has more upside

He'll probably move up some more once we get closer to the draft.

zoubek reminds me of greg ostertag. not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

His game will not translate well to the NBA. Has absolutely no lateral quickness. He was able to use his height as an advantage to bully his way in the paint at Duke but will be on equal ground in the NBA.

I was intrigued by fellow carribean jamaican Jerome Jordan whom is from Pat Ewing's island of J.A
However I must say after watching Youtube I'm disappointed not cause Jordan made all his highlight shots
but the softness which he went up for hoops.

It seems the DJ or anyone here whom ball can block this guys shot once he gets some opposition.
I am not impressed with this guy and its surprising since he is stating he will help some team.
Seems like a tall marshmellow to me these Youtube highlights dont show any agressiveness or force
from this chap.

Indiana cumulative picks

7-1 Jeff Foote
6-9 Luke Babbitt
6-5 Mikhail Torrance

I don't follow College Ball but this cat looks like a perfect match for D'Antoni. Very good offensive player. The only draw back is that the kid can play defense

Hey if anyone wants to--if we get a few more people--we can do one more mock draft over the next week leading up to the draft
