gimme a break with this excitement over Bill Walker... we just gave up our #8 lottery pick & 2 future potential lottery picks & now y'all are saying anything we got out of them would have sucked anyway, & yet people are having a circle jerk over acquiring guys like JR Giddens & Bill Walker... you just can't write this stuff, i tell ya.

I'm right with you broham. I'm just praying Sergio can be good, although if he's great, he's good as gone, b/c we wont be able to hold on to him b/c of the caphold and he'd sign with someone immediately. This offseason will either be real good or real f'in ugly.

You need to stop saying we gave up 3 lottery picks. With room for 2 MAX FA's, there is no chance in hell we're a lottery team next season or in 2012.

Think of it like this. We get free agents, the picks wont matter. We don't get free agents, we'll be awful next season, and we may keep the pick b/c we'll be challenging to be the worst team in the league. Maybe John Wall will stay in school for another year.

Sorry, I just don't see it. New York City. Madison Square Garden. Largest media capital of the world. The opportunity for 2 of these Star FA's to play together. The chance at basketball immortality if they revive this franchise. There is no way, no chance in blue hell we're a lottery team next season or in 2012 so you all need to calm down.

There are many reasons for free agents NOT to come here.

You really think we're getting shut out in free agency? I just can't see it. Once these free agents come visit New York, it's all over. You know Donnie Walsh and co. will get the entire city on the recruiting pitch. We're not the Milwaukee Bucks. You underestimate the power and draw of New York.

1) We have 4 guaranteed contracts on the roster.

2) We're a lousy team.

3) David Lee may end up leaving and Nate is gone. Those guys are beloved throughout the league.

4) No draft picks.

5) We're not making the playoffs, let alone competing for a championship.

6) LeBron will get endoresments anywhere.

7) Cleveland, Toronto and Miami are all in better shape.

Just a few reasons FAs might not come here this Summer.

i got nothing against Sergio, he looks like he can be a pretty decent PG for us... nothing to be worth giving up all those assets for tho... if we don't get Lebron & 1 of the other elite FA's this summer that trade is a bust as far as i'm concerned.

i just find it hilarious how all these cats are calling Jordan Hill out like he sucked when most of them have maybe seen him play a total of 29 games or whatever if you include SL action, but have all this excitement over acquiring a career bench warmer like Giddens & a 22 yo swingman who hadn't shown anything over his first 37 games played in the NBA... there's no way either of them will see minutes over Wilson Chandler or T-Mac this season & most likely won't see any minutes going forward regardless if we sign Lebron, Wade, Joe Johnson, Rudy Gay or whoever else this offseason.

8)The only FA that has won a championship was Wade, and 1) That was a different team and 2) He has said he wont come to NY.

9) We cannot improve. We don't have any trade chips now. Who are we gonna trade Gallo, Wilson, Tony and Curry for? We can't package them with anybody, especially because we don't have picks. Therefore, a FA signs with us, this is what we got. We're not changing that much for the next couple of seasons.
