Trading Griffin at any pick would be a mistake of the ages. Like I said last night with beasley it doesnt make a difference if he is 6.85 or 6-10 and really it doesnt. Griffin plays 3 feet above the rim. He can handle the ball extremely well for a big and has incredible agility for a 250++ pound athlete who is built like a brick wall. He'll develop a mid range J just like Amare Stoudemire did.
He so far above everyone coming into the draft that people look for neagtives and miss the incredible positives. This is a modern day Karl Malone in the making--you don't think about it--you draft him and be happy you did. IMHO the scker play of this draft will be Rubio--lets wait and see on that.

Whoa there Briggs. There's the Karl Malone comparisons again. This guy is a terrible free throw shooter. He's a muscle bound freak. He might never develop a shot. He might be a modern day Anthony Mason. That's still a good player, but come on now, let's see him play first.

Saying size doesn't matter is crazy too. Nate plays above the rim. Does that mean he can get his hands in passing lanes when he's up against Devin Harris? Nope he sure can't.

Knicks fans have seen their share of 6'7" wanna be power forwards and what their stuggles can be. I don't care if this dude can hit his face on the backboard or how hard he can dunk. When he tries to post up a weaker, but longer PF like Aldridge, he's going to get embarrassed. Dude's going to have to develop some serious moves to deal with going up against bigger players every night.

We haven't touched on the guy's knee problems either, especially for a player who's expected to out athlete everyone.

Griffin should be good, but let's lay off the Karl Malone comments. Malone was automatic from 15 feet in and taller than Griffin. Until Griffin shows a hint of evidence that he can do some of those things we shouldn't be comparing him to all-time players.

Rubio and Jennings will be wildcards this year. No question. One thing I can guarantee you though is that Rubio is not going to get smaller. He's got good PG size, and likes to play defense. That'll take you a long way.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

When Karl Malone came into the league he was a horrible free throw shooter and not that much of a shooter. Hard work plays off. I agree though about staying away from HOF comparisons.

Its nice to hear qualified reasoning rather than blanket "stud" or "bust" talk
