What is going on in New York these days? Not only is Larry Brown changing lineups, it appears he's trying to change his job description.

Word is that Brown is calling many of his former charges around the league to see whether they'd like to do deals before the Feb. 23 trade deadline.

And he isn't wedded to keeping anyone on his roster.

Coaches calling around is not in and of itself unusual, but it doesn't sound as if Brown is clearing things with Isiah Thomas before he picks up the phone.

Which might explain why the Knicks seem to be in every trade scenario there is, including possible deals for Orlando's Steve Francis and Denver's Kenyon Martin. The Nuggets want to do something before the deadline, but the bigger question is how much owner Stan Kroenke will take on to make a move in the ...

rvhoss did you watch the games? Channing had one DNPCD....the first game...and he was not in a suit. He was dressed. LB said he felt bad the Frye did not get in. The only other games I see 0 minutes for are when he got hurt. Maybe you should actually look up some stats on ESPN.

No....he didn't play consistent minutes. Did I say he did? Was LB the only reason he didn't play constsitently or was it his foul proneness or lack of defense? Don't hide behind a 'mod' statement because you incorrectly posted information.

Yup np, it's basically over now I think though..

For those who didn't hear, Brandon Tierney & SAS were discussing the "what if's" surrounding the lawsuit.

Basically going back and fourth about how this could affect the team if they're winning or losing. Maybe the players rallying around Isiah and what not.

Andrew, as you well know, if you don't play consistant minutes, them its hard to play under control because of fear of one mistake and your on the bench.

For some reason, the streaming audio from ESPN 1050 works with IE but not Firefox.

Andrew, do you feel Frye earned consistant minutes ?? If not, why ?? Chris Paul played consistant minutes as well as Andrew Bogut, but not Frye.

LB has done this his entire career, so this is nothing new. You can say that LB had discussions with other teams without explicit instructions about who to trade for whom and characterize that as "behind IT's back" or you can say that LB also entered into discussions. Same thing I guess.

LOTS of coaches do this. Some don't. Some more than others cause they carry a bigger juice card.
