Reading the beginning of this thread vs. the end its the bi-polar coaster.

Reality is we got a long way to go. Its a process. That was an awful game.

THe rotation was swift, guys in and out, no harmony. No composure at all. Butler finishing the game? WTF?

Larry is the genious, let him find what he is looking for.

Nate is super but the turnovers are a killer.

Only one who looked good was mo t.

I don't expect this to conitinue, but I do know it will be a process.

I can't believe the panic and lack of composure. The nets had it, thats why they won.

Not the end of the world. on paper we have talent, youth, and potential. Its a whole new team and it will take some time.

Composure. Priceless!

horribly reffed game. just awful. Marbury isn't looking for his shot on offense, but I have a feeling that will change when the games (stats) count.

I agree that Malik and Penny may have been showcased tonight.

Jerome and Butler lost some weight. The refs were so horrible, our front court just couldnt get in a rythm. Marb was a little too agressive defensively, but the refs called 3 bad fouls on him early on....if that is the way they ref the game in regular season, we will be in trouble..

i particularly hated that call in the 4th on carter's drive. what crap!! then he winces!? he's prepping for his inevitable 'injuted" act in jersey when his mom tells her little prince it's time to start pouting.

once again i think nate is special, especially in the fourth. what about that forced 8 count? turn this guy loose in the 4th! yeah he'll have a turnover or 2 but i think his impact plays go 3:1 in favor of the positive.

Ya - it was ugly game.
The Knicks players continue to try do the things Brown wants from them. Natural result –a bunch of turnovers. A lot of confusion and force plays - no flow and instincts of the players are opposite to what plays are.
Looks like it will take a couple of month to get some game out of this mess.

You can't get crazy over a game like this. Its a good learning experience for our team, against a solid team. The Nets are more polished and have more mature players, so they don't get as flustered and they run the scheme well.

I liked that the Knicks still played hard, despite things not going well in any area. This team is going to eventually be really good. We have to give them time to figure it out and gain some chemistry. I'm very encouraged by this teams prospects, cuz you just know that its going to get better.

I rant on the refs every game, the NBA just doesn't get it, it coddles the stars too much, that BS call vince got at the end mad me sick, he was defended well by barnes, had no where to go and just threw up a shot and got a call vs butler who just stood there... On any given sunday, any team, any player can fairly compete with any star or veteran, weither you are a rookie or bench player... The NFL has it right, you must play hard, you must execute, to win games, no bail out calls... The NBA is so worried about marketing their stars, they are letting the game play slip badly.. the refs in the NBA call the worst games I have ever seen in almost any sport...

yea, but you reward young players who play hard, not penalize them for being rookies, butler and frye were getting hammered by that sloth foot stiff kristic and mark jackson and were getting no calls, it was almost criminal!!

what was evident is that if kristic has to guard curry for more than a quarter then he will foul out before the half.. and the sad thing is the knicks guards can't get curry the ball...

too many ball handlers on the court at once was the cause for that failure...I can guaranty you if Q was on the court as SG, thE movement would have been different...it is just stupid to have 3 guys in the starting lineup with PG mentality...

GREAT point. This is why i'm very optiimistic about things. Cuz really we haven't seen the knicks with their full starting lineup. Q makes a big difference cuz you HAVE to be concerned about him at all times. Q being in the game means we have a much more leathal perimeter and opens the paint for Curry. Right now they can cheat off Ariza cuz he's not gonna kill them with a shot, Q will.
