Didn't expect it, but happy to see it! Thought for sure he'd wind up in Miami.

Has anybody read the Embiid article? It’s really touching.

Just kidding. You couldn’t pay me to read it. And by the way, **** Embiid.

The Toronto Raptors were reportedly willing to part with RJ Barrett and the No. 9 pick in last month’s draft in an aggressive pursuit of Jrue Holiday.

According to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, who spoke with CLNS Media Boston Sports Network, Toronto is believed to have offered a package involving Barrett and the ninth overall pick to the Boston Celtics in an effort to acquire the veteran guard. The deal reportedly focused on shedding Barrett’s $57.3 million contract over the next two years. Boston ultimately declined and chose to trade Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers for Anfernee Simons, whose $27.7 million salary will expire at the end of the season.

Crazy, I love RJ, hard to believe he's basically a negative asset despite his strong season.

Actually looks like the deal might have been RJ, IQ, #9 pick for Jrue AND White which makes more sense, and BOS declined.

Thinking Toronto not happy with Ujiri's move and read they not crazy about Ingram. RJ was solid for the money but IQ is still untested at over 30mil. Last season just 33 games. Can't blame Thibs.
Kid is young, Im sure he'll bounce back.

I like the move. Gives warm fuzzies to his comback when it occurs and perhaps in the new era of the CBA if their rookies show up then can also leverage them for a trade and maybe after this upcoming season compete?
Not a prediction but I like the move for the Franchise and its fans.

Also possible Portland swings Holiday out to G.S. for Kuminga to add another young wing to an already pretty impressive young squad.

LOL - if Boston considered that trade. RJ/IQ duo is a dud and ain't going nowhere.

Before that injury he was avg. 34pts a game and was reigning MVP who we all coveted given his CAA thing and Leon was his agent!
Did we really hate him or it was the droopy bells paulsey hacking Embiid that we all fell out from?

Its like he choose to play for team USA over france, was the reigning MVP, and like someone put a curse on his ass!
Serously. From that point on it was all bad for him. he had endorsements, commercials, was NBA elite and a face of it! Do I feel sorry for him? NOt yet, but its like the knick series he became a monster. His eye was parlyized some causing dryness. Could barley move, had that brace on his leg, even looked like he smelled bad, was arguing every call, played dirty as hell, and the world hated him. At teh same time he played in pain, could barely move, and damn near still carried his team over a good knick team!! if he was ours we'd have loved him for it.
But that Voodo he do had been done messed him bad.

Smart to Lakers - not good enough for Knicks but good enough for Luka/Lebron.

If we eliminate the 4 (RFAs) and the next 4 guys in the list and also eliminate Precious/Beasley —- I might prefer GP2 and/or Boucher.

Coffey sounds good on shooting % but thought I read somewhere underlying peripherals not good with him on floor (not sure).

Westbrook would probably be most entertaining as he would mesmerize us both good/bad.

Is the better Martin twin (Heat/Houston) available??

Just looking at list Martin posted not sure why we’d rush to sign Shamet - he played ok BUT….a bit meh for me and I wanted him last year.
