I honestly thought we'd see a handful of guys go the Brunson route of taking less than the max to open up a competetive window for their teams. That said the opportunity to make money outside of playing ball in NYC is much greater than these other markets. You have to really appreciate what Jalen did here to create a window of roster maximization. I hope it gets us the trophy.

This is why - unlike and unfortunately for DDV - you won't see Leon trade Mikal or Hart unless something REALLY over the top pops up.

Brunson gave back something like $100M, which then paved the way for potential deep playoff dynasty, and that in turn paved for Brunson to definitely have his dad on the bench somewhere and his best buds who are on reasonable contracts and will stick around for the long haul.

You may be right Martin.

For me - I took the organizations statement post Thibs firing that team "is singularly focused on winning a championship".

That statement along with the Thibs firing makes me believe anyone can go and I'm not sure it needs to be an overwhelming offer.

On top of that if Mikal dicks around with extension talks he may just force the hand.

That’s pretty much why Randle was traded

That’s not accurate at all.

We should definitely win our group.

Man, it's glaring how weak the east is.

And good for him too. He will finally have the opportunity he was looking for.

I’m certainly far from the only one to think that the Sixers were insane to take a gamble on Paul George with his injury history. To pair him with Embiid? Yikes. They should add an orthopedic wing to their arena.

How obscenely stupid are the Sixers? They make the Suns look like nuclear physicists.

I recall when Leon got here lots of talk about him being his agent and thinking he'd be knick one day.
This Philly regime is like a bad knick nightmare that never happened. Them and the Suns like the last starphuchers of the era.
There will be others again. Temptation is a strong pull when you want to win.

Embiid is owned with a player option at like 250mil over the next 4 years. That buy out gonna be real hard if they go that route. They are ****ed. PG13 160mil over the next 3 years.
Now I can appreciate the ambition but I'd imagine the fan base is kind of not thinking the future looking good any time soon.

The weaker the better and now PG13 is out a big chunk of next regular season not that the Sixers were a threat anyway.

Every year there are surprise teams. We been that also.
Im not counting out Philly because they get Embiid and PG13 back late in the season they can be tough.
Indy and Boston could take a step back. ATL, Orlando and Detroit will move forward.
Cleveland has to be the favorite with us not too far behind.
That preseason tourney can be fun but Im not gonna freak if we start the season slow.

Cole Anthony to the Bucks is an underrated move. He will help them. I'd start him over KP Jr. Not super efficient, but he is tough, gets rebounds, hustles and can occasionally get hot and get a bunch of buckets.

Bucks are not better without Dame, but in a depleted East, will still probably a top 5 team.

Mo Wagner also going back to Orlando on a 1 yr 5mm deal.

They need to replace the DNP-Injured vacated by PG.

They’re going to lean on him less than they had to in Phoenix. So maybe this works. Clips are sneaky loaded now.

Beal is one of the least appetizing stars I’ve ever seen —- great size for position and skill set yet whenever I’ve watched him past 4-5 years I see a non-impact overrated overplayed drag on overall team.
