Collier on Jazz is fun (attacking PG) and kid out of Florida has sone sizzle to his game - can get by, can pass and can get his shot off from range.

Not sure if either will play but fun in Summer League - Collier has some dog in him.

If this Thunder team was around a decade ago, it would be one of the longest running dynasties we've seen. But the timer is about to start with the SGA, Chet, and soon Jalen Williams (eligible for $246M) extensions.

The Chet # is outrageous. I'm not sure I believe Chet is that level of talent. Once they sign Jalen, the Hartenstein, Caruso, Dort etc. multimillion dollar role players go out the window. They have thousands of picks so plenty of ways to replenish their bench cheaply, but it will be a different caliber of player.

I think Chet is the real deal for what he can do as a big. All about availability.

iHart has next year as a guarantee then a club year after at 28mil. So these extensions hit year after.
They can let iHart go after next year or trade him this summer or next for pick(s) if they want.

Dynasties? If they were given a different economic environment perhaps Celtics could have kept theirs one more year?
They were good, but other teams will be coming on next season. Denver gave them a run for their money and Minny could be improved as well.

Booker gets a 2 yr / $145 mm extension.

I honestly thought we'd see a handful of guys go the Brunson route of taking less than the max to open up a competetive window for their teams. That said the opportunity to make money outside of playing ball in NYC is much greater than these other markets. You have to really appreciate what Jalen did here to create a window of roster maximization. I hope it gets us the trophy.

Phoenix is such a mess - can't blame Booker one bit for taking the money! But yeah, tough to see how that contract fits in on a title team, either in Phoenix or elsewhere. He'll be 33 for his next shot at free agency.

This is why - unlike and unfortunately for DDV - you won't see Leon trade Mikal or Hart unless something REALLY over the top pops up.

Brunson gave back something like $100M, which then paved the way for potential deep playoff dynasty, and that in turn paved for Brunson to definitely have his dad on the bench somewhere and his best buds who are on reasonable contracts and will stick around for the long haul.

Lets see how it all unfolds cuz Jalen might want a big contract one day and make up for lost wages.
As for NY and the "big money market" consider that the game is global as are endorsements. SGA is getting more and more exposure for his game in little old OKC.
Durant has huge deals when he was there. SGA is canadian and pretty low key as is Giannis.

The big money is in bankable stars and not if they are even currently at the tip of their games. Jordan still rules by far and nobody really knows who Chuck Taylor really was but his name lives on. Randle two time All NBA and allstar in NYC did not really get any endorsement traction did he?
Jalen still might get some and he is building a base in NYC. With TV viewing fragmented as it is endorsements are a different type of business.

Most of those names are legacy names. Makes sense. You want to attach your brand to stable, known commodities. Most of those names will fall off in a few years.
