Is it possible we end up giving up a top 5 pick? sure... but wouldn't that just be fair value? would you be happy trading Mikal if he was on our team for just late 1sts?

Nets need to get at least one elite asset back for this to be a good trade for them. We traded nothing in the way of players so if they get a top 5 pick a few years down the road so be it. We're about to have a helluva run.

Purely on paper, yes I agree it's an overpay. But NYK has been swimming in picks - eventually you have to spend them, and why not get the absolutely perfect piece roster wise and chemistry wise while doing so? We are the Villanova Knicks, we're doubling down on that.

Teams cater to their stars all the time bringing in big names, meanwhile our catering involves versatile glue guys that already fit together and have proven success. Not exactly trying to shove the square peg into the round hole (pause).

No, I don't agree this signals the end of Randle. We recognized the absence of his scoring since Feb, especially in the post season. The fact that we splurge on Bridges instead of bringing in a big time scorer like PG or Mitchell tells me we still have plans for him.

Idk how (or if) this impacts the OG negotiations...probably not. But at least now we can go to OG and say - you don't have to do it all by yourself on D. We have another stopper who can lighten the load. And we're focused on being a contender NOW. Not necessarily. No matter what Knicks do they are capped at what they can offer Ihart.

The key factor here is would he accept less than what he could get on the open market.

Guess he could give us the 7 pts a game and rebound. He is not a stretch 3 pt shooting big, which is what I hope we get out of the draft.

This guy kind of misses the point that trading Cam Johnson and Mikals Bridges for KD on the backend of his career is a little different than trading Bogdanovic for Bridges entering his prime.
