I feel the opposite, think Grimes will get as many or more minutes than Fournier. It's Cam that'll get the squeeze IMO

And Fournier getting 13-15mins at the 2. Would leave 28-30mins left over for IQ and Grimes. IQ would command 20mins of that to be conservative. Leaving 8-10mins for Grimes. Injuries would obviously be the way for Grimes to get bigger mins. But these are also conservative mpg estimations. I know this will never happen, but I wonder if it would make more sense to bring Julius off the bench (heard this idea on the Game Theory podcast) if a Spida deal is done. I'm not saying a major cut in minutes, but more of a sixth man role. The thinking is that Randle operating in the mid post would hamper spacing for JB and Mitchell cuts into the paint. It could get worse if Randle's three point shooting doesn't bounce back. Brunson is a solid three point shóoter, but why relegate him to spotting up on corner threes when he's one of the team's best initiators. Conversely, Randle can continue doing his thing, whatever that is, anchoring the second unit. He can spin and throw passes out of bounds to his heart's delight. While Obi's three point shooting is balky, his off ball movement is already top notch. He is smart enough to move and provide passing outlets to the main penetrators on the team.
Another thing to consider is that Mr. Keller, the Knicks newest addition at center, might be the better fit in the starting lineup. I know, it looks bad to extend Mitch just to bench him. But iHart potentially spaces the floor off of his passing alone in the high post. If he adds more volume to his three point attempts while maintaining an average level of efficiency, it would do wonders for spacing.

Yeah, but you can make the case that JB/Mitchell also fit better with iHart than Mitch too

In the back of my mind I think the FO re-upped Mitch cause you don't want to lose him for nothing.

Similarly, I think they hope iHart pans out and you have a different version of Mitch in Sims as Hart's backup.

You can move Mitch later if it's appropriate. I think that's what the FO is hoping for.

IMHO Brunson will have a big impact and it'll be infectious throughout the team.
