MUCH better than Fournier... ug, anything but $20mm+ for that guy

Fournier shot 463 from 3pt line last year - DeMar 257.

We need more 3pters made, and we need a PG. Fournier at least makes some sense in that regard.

But, our biggest need is PG, and all of the rumors around top PGs like Ball is other teams?

i don't see Derozan here

suspect Thibs wants a pg who can attack the rim, and then wants a reliable wing to nail the kick out. Duncan is plan A, Fournier is plan B for that role

still think Oubre had a role too

I think the concept of stretch 5 is one of the most overrated. Unless he's the extremely rare case where the guy can hit at the same clip as a wing it seems vastly overrated. Yes i realize it can create space for a wing (assuming he's enough of a threat to be guarded closely)

I much prefer a 5 with quick enough feet to guard a switch (long enough)

sure just give him the max.

He's not a very good basketball player... but if you just want to focus on literally one stat cool.

Is he a better shooter than Bullock? He's not. Hopefully if we nice this noodle its a really short deal because when he got 5 years last time he took the first 3 off

Interesting I didn't expect us to re-sign Burks, though he certainly has value as a bench bucket getter. 3/30 is ok...I feel like there are other players like TH Jr. that are the same player that will get double.

So Burks and Fournier?

I hate it. He will probably look for money seriously above $20m per year. And this ties up our cap space on a decent, but not star-quality player. Randle+RJ+Evan = mediocrity for years to come. Perry's moves did jack crap for Orlando.

I agree man. #1 in available salary cap space and our big fish is "Evan Fournier"? Not even a top 60 NBA player?

I'm so tight right now. I'm more than just pissed. I'm disgusted.

FYI from the same article: "Nerlens Noel seems likely to return to Madison Square Garden on a deal worth slightly more than $10 million annually"

Don't disagree...I'm not a fan of this move and to make matters worse, dude seems to miss a ton of games every year. What I Hate is the fact that it seems like we are building a middles of the pack, one and done playoff team.

So if Knicks go ~18 for Fournier, ~10 for Burks, ~10 for Noel that would leave around 15mm. Does that go Rose or someone like Cam Payne? I think they have Bird rights on Rose so can go over the cap to re-sign him - maybe someone can confirm that.

Reports have it Nerlens Noel is coming back home to the Knicks.

Now this is a move I like because he may not be as impactful as Mitchell Robinson but he's an A+ backup Center off the bench.

Great just great so in other words we didn't improve one bit this offseason despite #1 available salary cap space?

This crap is disgusting.

Same article above posits we use the remaining cap space to sign Schroeder potentially. He has Rose ending up back in Chicago.

Brad Stevens has been cold blooded, getting rid of all the players that p'd him off (TT and Kemba)

He'd be a nice luxury, but this team needs a real PG, preferably one who can shoot consistently.

there a lot of reasons to like and to dislike Marcus. But he is not the guy we're looking for.

Not long term, but perfect as a one year stop gap

I think you overstate this. The ability to step out to the 3 to hit a shot and the desire to park at the 3 pt line is different for centers. Brook Lopez did great stepping out, but also dominating in the paint and bodying up the younger Suns frontcourt.

Honestly, I want a guy that is comfortable banging in the paint. Once they are comfortable there, they can slide out to the 3 as the game dictates

You know I gonna spin wit it
