I will keep on saying it until I consistently see something else, but we don't play good team ball on the offensive end, and it really shows at times.

I agree, they also have to make the game easier on them by getting to the free throw line. I think we rarely, if ever, have more free throw attempts than the other team.

I actually almost hurt someone after watching 4Q. There's nothing that kills me more than losing winnable games.

Second unit did a great job building on the lead. Then it contributed to its demise.
It was a winnable game but the established order to close games is with Morris and Randle.
I thought it was remarkable the two ally oops Morris to Mitch against Embiid. I know Clyde thinks we should go to that a 3rd or more time. Morris is in his role too for the first time as game closer. No credit for the shots he hits, just the ones missed Thts how it works?

It sucks many of our guys played real well last night. I hope they continue to play hard all season

I guess I can deal with this outcome consistently:

Showing improvements offensively and defensively, seeing a guy like Frank slowly but truly become a quality starter, seeing progress on the youth of Barrett, Robinson, Knox, and DSJ while giving the opposing team a hard time until ultimately losing. I mean, I want the team I love to win as much as all here, but its truly madness to expect this team to suddenly win and be in the playoff hunt.

And while tanking is supposedly extinct, truth is that if you are one of the worst teams in the league, you better secure at minimum a top 5 pick, which the worst record does. So if that is the way to go, so be it. Golden State will probably be the worst team in the end, but you get the point.

Mitch is just as responsible, if not more than Randle/Morris, for this loss. If he never blocks a jump shooter again for the sake of not falling for pump fakes, then I’ll be happy. He’s a really stupid player so far.

Knicks got jobbed on some foul calls and Fiz just stood there with that dumb look on his face.DAMNIT FIZ show some emotion, take a tech for the team,stand behind your players. if Jackson,jvg or svg was coach they woulda been jumping all over the place.

Honestly it had nothing to do with lack of foul calls or getting "jobbed" by the refs. Instead it was Fiz allowing our Forwards to handle the ball and just do ISO instead of putting the ball in our guards hands where we had our success throughout the game

He loves blocking those 3 pointers and being on sportscenter. He needs to use that to his advantage. Just fake that he is going up for a block just to give the shooter a little hicup

I tend to look for the positives. You lose these types of games before you win them. Morris at 29 is new to being a closer. He has to make decisions and shots. Not that I feel bad for him, its just a new role. At 15mm, its not like he is paid like one either. Randle played well. Hustle plays, good shots, etc.
Frank missed key foul shots. Not everyone is Kobe.
As for running the offense thru the point guard, its what you want, but at this time Frank might be in his third season but he is just reborn "Fiba Frank" and starting less than 10 games. I get that you can't hand the keys to him quite yet. Barrett is the man going forward but he has holes in his game. The right hand is coming along but closing in the NBA is a different art.
Winnable game. The road to respectable Street is filled with these types of games. Its actually progress. We are building leads than crawling back as we were two weeks ago. This was a road game against the team that needed a miracle shot by Kawhi to get to finals. If they did, and GSW broke as they did the PHila 76ers would be Champions.
I thought we defended well at times, and Mitch did well at times. Kid is a knuckle head but no college ball and one year under his belt? Amazing how small he looked next to Embiid. We upset that Embiid hit the 3 pt shot that about sealed the game? I'll take the odds Robinson go easy than foul him at that distance. Embiid is a top 10 player? Top 5? He is good. Simmons is good. They have shooters, they have Harris, they are a damn good team.
4th quarter on the edge of my seat with a winnable game on the road against a legit contending team? Yeah, I wanted the win but short of that I'll take it.
