im not sold on kaminsky as a nba player so i still see him going 10—15. It doesnt apply to us since we are in the towns okafor or russell sweepstakes

Call it a hunch...but i think Phil will try and get a second pick....too much talent and too many holes to fill.....maybe stein drops far enough to steal him.

he aint trading a lottery pick so thats off limits. Next we have no assets to acquire another first

there will be no trade because its almost a certainty we will get okafor towns or russell

I think he is suggesting trading the pick for two firsts. I don't think he does it.

I dont like Dukes defense.....especially if Ok4 has to chase Kaminsky or Decker....but I have Duke winning it all in my Espn bracket.

OK4 can't really guard Kaminsky, but Duke beat Wisconsin and I still think they could do it again.

i'd love to see towns and kaminsky as knicks.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

for your sake i hope only your pride is at stake. wisconsin looked like the best team of the four today.

Outside of Ok4....duke has a great defensive scheme and a great coach. Wisconsin might seem like the favorite....but never sleep on Coach K. No bets this year. ..it's a free Espn league.

why do people keep saying phil will draft stein. Stein is projected 6-10. The knicks are gonna be in top 4

I mean honestly,
how amazing would it be to see Okafor and Towns going at it? Winslow and Booker? that championship game would have been one for the ages.
How does it take a coach almost the whole game to realize that a major problem on defense is mismatches? Absolute joke coach Cal was today.

Let it go. Phil was talking about Towns. KAT has good enough lateral quickness to be a good defender even on the perimeter. He wasn't talking about Stein IMO. Phil said he wants players with multiple skills during that very same Town Hall, just before he made the comments about Defensive bigs.

- Phil said he "knows" whom he wants to draft. "We want a player that has multiple skills." He also mentioned "We have zero big men" under contract next year. Asked if he'd prefer a big man who can pass and score or one who can defend, he didn't even wait a millisecond: "Defender." This led to an elaboration on why he traded Tyson Chandler, namely Tyson's injuries last year and the fact that he's in his thirties. But he did cite Chandler as the type of big man he wants to add, citing that with "so many screen/rolls, so many threes" in the game now, you need a big man who can contend with all that.

I agree, it kinda sounded like phil was talking about stein in the town hall, but I'm fairly certain he doesn't take him with at top 4 pick, even at 4....no way. Not gonna worry about that anymore

Wisconsin is a good team but kentucky could have easily won this game if they didnt go braindead in the last few minutes. They watched the ball go slowly out of bounds instead of grabbing it thus giving wisconsin a chance

Seriously, esp for all us knick fans -- two top big men we actually have a chance at drafting going at it head to head. Oh well....still think we'll get a good game. KT should've won this game going away--the gameplan and execution was beyond poor...you tip you cap if you get beat bringing your best, but KT didn't bring anywhere close to their best...if I'm cal, I'd have nightmares for months after this one. He allowed way too much freelancing out there by the wrong players instead of milking obvious high% strengths. I've never seen so many wasted possessions by a top team...this loss is on calipari

great game!
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Correct- it's a shame, but that's just the way it is.

Most reports state Phil and scouts basically lived in Kentucky doing scouting work, the definitely have their eye on someone there, and they've admitted a couple of teams have inquired about our pick. For a slightly lower pick and a starting caliber player, i do think Phil pulls the trigger.

Yup. And Calipari said before the game that his team did not watch one bit of film because he wanted his team to focus on themselves. Even in that deluded plan, you still need to plan out how you are going to set up defensively!1

Yeah, hopefully even if he did mean Stein, that brain fart has passed.
I think Nix is right that he meant Towns though but he might just be throwing up a smoke screen anyway.
