His teammates and coach are neutralizing him. Ok4 is hanging out in the short corner, weakside while the guards go one on one on the strong side as they burn the clock.

Give credit to Ok4 on the defensive end tonite. Karnowski dominated in the sweet 16, only has 4 tonite. Not a factor at all.

i hope jackson passes on okafor if the knicks by some miracle have a top draft pick. i don't see what all the fuss is about. maybe next saturday i will be persuaded.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

I think winslow can make a case to be number 4 in this draft.

I want Towns for the Knicks but in defense of OK4 he's going to be featured in the strong side Triangle opposite Melo on the weak side Pinch Post, if he's on the Knicks. Teams will have a hard time focusing purely on stopping him. I Think we could make it work with either OK4 or KAT.

I agree. He just makes winning plays on both ends.

There isn't anyone in this draft that will change the Knicks' trajectory..I'm looking forward to free agency..

Okafors mediocre offense against actual size is a bit concerning.... Combined that with iffy rebounding and I'm not sure if okafor is #2...

I wouldn't go to far to say mediocre

Mediocre? Ok4 was 13-18 with 28 pts vs Notre Dame, the same team that Towns dominated yesterday and has everyone going crazy. He was also 12-16 with 26 vs San Diego st who is one of the biggest teams in tournament. We really need to stop overreacting after every game.

Its not overreacting.... His rebounding numbers are now below what you would call elite... His offense against 7 footers is a bit soft... And he still has defensive issues...

His calling card is offense and if he's not getting good looks against size that's a bit scary....

Fortunately for him Ok4 won't be guarding 7 footers in the NBA. He will be a PF. Hopefully he drops to 260Lbs so he can keep up laterally

Which 7 footers are you referring to? Against a legit big front line of San Diego St, he dropped 26. Against Rakeem Christmas, legit NBA prospect, he dropped 23 on 10-15 shooting. He had 28 and 22 in 2 games vs Notre Dame. So far through out the tournament, he has been double teamed on almost every touch including tonight vs a legit 7 footer.

I will agree that his rebound numbers aren't great. He doesn't chase rebounds like a the great rebounders do. He mainly just grabs the ones that are in his immediate area. To his credit, he had a big time defensive play down the stretch when he forced the 7 footer into a travel.

He will have major issues on D at PF with the way the game is being played these days.

He's a bit like Bargs as a help defender. Saw another instance today where he seemed to back away instead of challenging someone going to the basket.

I expected more intensity from him on offense too. He has a lot of finesse, but little explosiveness, IMO.

Very frustrating to watch him at times- I always seem to expect more from him than what he gives us.

Are these youth related issues, or are some of his warts becoming more prominent as the tournament progresses?

I'm glad Duke won so we can see more of OK4(and Winslow). Perhaps he will redeem himself.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Final 4 has at least 5 potential draft picks in these remaining games, good stuff.

No he doesnt--he looked out of breath several times--he didnt look like himself. He didnt play hard--I have to wonder physically if something was off. This is a big guy who has played 35% more minutes than Towns this year for example and played through injury the last month. He looked like he was operating at 70% from what I have seen this year. While he hasnt realy done that well on defense(although his team is just fine with him on that end) hes usually very quick and powerful in tight space. I didnt see any of that today--where he spin dribble's or uses force at the basket. This guy dunks the ball with ease when he wants to and I did not see even 1 close dunk--not even a break away he had. Id give him a mulligan this weekend and move on to the final four. Nothing will change my opinion he is either 1 or 2.

At least Kentucky won't have to deal with Jerian Grant running circles on the floor. Wisconsin has bigs and shooters but they don't have that type of speed

It's going to be interesting to see how Towns defends Kaminsky if he is the one to guard him.

Stein on Decker making it hard to shoot over him
