Being in the same division, how does that work, exactly? Lose to the Knicks in the playoffs would be a success?

Your capitalization gives you away almost every time....

Head to head matchups I go knicks. So Knicks beating the Nets in playoffs is good. Nets eliminate Knicks IM rooting for Nets in the next round to beat a NON NY team!

As far as Nets not building a base for the future, Deron and Bropez are still under 30 and their EuroYouths are 25 and 27 as well. Plum is no star but a great pickup. Iso Joe is still in his prime.

Jrod, Nets are interesting to me. Not hiding this.

Head to head with the Nets--anyone with simple basketball acumen easily goes with the Nets. Now put on some rose colored glasses and then whoever looks good.

Harden with another ridiculous game:

25 points on 13 shots

9 Rebounds

10 assits

funny how people thought that Houston would give him to us for Melo .... hillarious

so here is what phil is thinking ....

The Lakers are 0-5. Kobe played 44 minutes last night. Scott told his team to play with game 7 intensity last night.

Their team is comprised mostly of castoffs from other teams

It was sad to watch Kobe last night. He could not beat anybody off the dribble.

The savviest move of the entire NBA off season was Phoenix locking down I Thomas for 6.8mm $ a year. The guy is worth 10mm+++ He goes unknown but he is an honest to goodness 20-7 PG and while he is 5-9ish he honestly plays like hes 6-2 at times(just some times he is picked on the d side). Hes so powerful in his lower body with incredible agility and spring that its tough to stop him either end to end or in the halfcourt --what a really REALLY good player. Now that wouldve been a move grabbing Thomas for LESS than Calderon that our fearless leaders couldve laid a foundation piece on the team.

Absolutely. The only thing I don't like about him is his name. Other than that, what a player. The fact that PHX also has Dragic and Bledsoe is impressive.

Len and the Morris twins are also very good. Fun team to watch. Hornacek looks like a good coach.

and on the flip side...

Byron Scott is a horrible coach. I am so happy we have Old Man Fisher.

They need to be- their pick is only protected top 5. However even if the tank is a success, the pick is only top 3 protected the following year, when they'll be just as bad as this year. Very bleak times for Laker fans. I can't remember but I think the pick goes to the Suns, in which case, they're sitting pretty.

Flashback to the "why do all good things happen to the beautifully run lakers and not us" UK posts in regards to the Nash trade.

what's up with Lebron and Clevland? Did Lebron pull a Kobe or another Boston Bron. I see Irving was in jack a shot mode.

I read today that there's whispers that he's suffering from some sort of back issues. Also it's a big adjustment period for him- probably doesn't help that he's gone from a team of bball savvy vets to his current team mates.

I still think Kevin Love is overrated too!

His ability to put up monster numbers that have zero impact on the outcome of the game.
