conference finals?
conference semifinals?
first round of playoffs?

the team has imploded. it has gotten so bad that there's a rumor that barkley will be the guest color man on tonight's national broadcast, making laughing stock status official.

then there's the irrelevance quotient to follow.

thanks dolan, thanks <meh>lo

tick tock

Huh? I remember watching the TNT games last week and they said Charles was doing the game tonight. Whats this about a rumor?

so he is? wow what timing.

Yeah last I heard he is. The only good thing is that the Nets suck too and it'd be hard for Barkley to criticize the Knicks so much when the team he defends is nearly just as bad.

the ratings for this broadcast will be sky high and for all the wrong reasons.

Oh yeah. This could very well be the ugliest game of the year.

Ha, interestingly, Lin, Parsons and Asik are all out until Dec 15th- hmm...

Seriously though, Melo is not a Morey kind of guy- he likes efficency etc, plus Melo and Harden could never co-exist. I think if we move him the Clips are the most likely trade partner, simply because he's more likely to re-sign there and he's friends with CP3, while CP3 and Griffin are said to be feuding. Still, don't see it happening- Dolan will refuse to believe Melo will walk, offer a max contract and then refuse to trade him out of a loyalty/spite principal.

I agree. I really believe Melo either stays or we deal him to LA in a package for Blake.

steve Blake? If you believe the clippers would deal blake Griffin for carmelo, I have a bridge that stretches from the US to Europe I want to sell you...

Clearly you don't realize the power Chris Paul and Doc Rivers hold in the organization. Also, i didn't say straight up, i said a package involving both players as the centerpiece.

Dude give it up. You're never going to change his opinion; he's got some psychotic agenda with Melo. The best you could do is block his posts like how and several other posters have.

There's a way to look that up?! I've wondered who blocks who

Could we know who blocks who? I didn't know about that.

I thought that was what you were saying

No. We could block other posters though. I remember reading that others had been doing the same, which is how I found out about it.

Ok, after listening to First Take today I think I got Stephen A Smith figured out. He does have very good sources with Melo. While listening to him talk about the best trade for the Knicks to make is with the Clippers for Blake I figured it all out. Melo has given Stephen this information for him to trumpet the trade to the Clippers. Think about it the Clippers would be the absolute best place for melo. He would be in LA with Chris Paul. He would get his max money from them since it would be a trade. LA LA would still be able to make movies. So in this scenario Melo would get every single thing he wants.

I then thought about the last time Melo was in this situation and Stephen was giving his "opinion" on what should happen. When Walsh did not want to give the Nuggets everything they wanted, Stephen day in and day out said how dumb it would be to pass on melo and to give them everything they want because melo is a once in a lifetime player. In that situation melo got every single thing he wanted at the time also. This might be a little conspiratorial but it makes perfect sense.

Am I crazy or do other people see the connection also?

The reasoning and logic is sound. You might be onto something. If it's true, **** Melo and bring on Blake (stated by a Melo supporter)!

Yea SAS wouldn't be talking about trading Melo on Espn television if he didn't get word from the horses mouth that it is a distinct possibility

We would need a PG to go with Blake

Seeing Blake run the court with Shump and THJ and the highlight feel dunks at the Garden would be pretty exciting. Certainly more exciting than watching Melo and JR pound the ball

Yeah, until our first big loss. After that, the only thing we'd hear is that Blake isn't a superstar, his D sucks, he can't shoot and he doesn't work on his game during the summer. And that's before we hear about the degenerative condition affecting his knee, back etc. And then people will start posting about how Dolan got killed by Sterling and we'll hear rumors about a Blake Griffin for Ricky Rubio trade. That's after Rubio suffers his third knee injury in two years. We'll follow that move up by trading unprotected first rounders in 2019 and 2021 for Marc Gasoline, who will be working his way back onto the court after having major back surgery.

I want no parts of Blake on this team. We have no PG so his effectiveness will be halved. His contract is too high for a rebuild.

So? Trade him for a draft pick. There are plenty of teams that would take him, like Cleveland who may just give up their 2014 pick for him. I know very little about college basketball but the talent among the top 7 players is obvious and could be guys that we rebuild with/around.

I would really like to have blake here.... Not sure what team in the league wouldn't want him,, which is why I find it funny how some here are sold that the clippers are actually interested in dealing with the knicks.... and anything we have..

IMO, Amar'e's peak is better than anything I figure Blake to be. If you inserted Amar'e in his prime for Blake and the Clippers would be coming out of the West. The guy was an awesome offensive talent, while Blake can hardly hit anything that isn't a dunk.

this is blakes shot chart this year, actually it is better than last years when it came to shooting anything other than a dunk as this poster claims thats all blake can do..

dude has improved quite a bit this year... to think the kid is just a dunker is displaying pure ignorance..

Melo aint going anywhere. Guy is down during losing struck and problably a bit despondent with SAS. Who can blame him, he is working his sss off. Loves NY and wont leave $30 on table besides. Team is positioned to have alot of financial flexibilty to build around him. He saw the mess that is Brooklyn and also saw how good his team can be with some changes

Yeah, I'm totally down with handing melo 30 million, no biggie, let's just cripple the franchise for another 5 years.

But boy oh boy, it really is swell that he'll agree to stay here for only 30 million, what a loyal player!
