Mardy Collins says hello. Demetris Nichols says hello. Renaldo Balkman says hello. Earl Barron says hello. And the list goes on and on...

Childs2Dudley....he's a role player. He can score. I don't think anyones making him out to be Durant.

This team is in trouble not becaue they don't have guys that can play. There's a serious lack of leadership which is supposed to be a strength.

Calling me by my old username is supposed to prove what?

I know he can score. In garbage time. That's all he can do. Shoot a lot and score a lot. A lot of guys in the D-League can do the same thing but they're not in the league for a reason. Copeland can't dribble, can barely penetrate, is an awful defender and passer and has a poor basketball IQ. He will be out of the league next year. People need to stop overhyping him.

As for lack of leadership, it's more the coaching. Woodson is awful.

Cope is a role player off the bench. If he was perfect he wouldn't have been available. The thing is that if a coach has a player that is kind of a Vinnie the Microwave type of player, then you have to know how to use that player in spots to let them give you scoring if you need it. You put him in and if he's hot you let him go for a while and if not then take him out. He's a ROLE PLAYER!!! It just so happens that he's one of the most efficient scorers on the team, so it's not a bad thing to add that kind of player to the mix and give your start forwards an extra rest each game. Given the condition of STAT and Melo it's obvious we could've used that.

D'Antoni used to not play certain scrubs when we needed them at times I guess all coaches are created equally in some respects.

C'mon Nix.

C'mon what? There are some guys around here that don't like the guy and I see no valid reason to hate on the guy and call him a scrub. Some people around here need to do some research and see what this kid does when given a chance. No he's not some great player. He's a role player off the bench that scores. No different than Novak.

So your response is "FU all you haters?" That's fanboy talk.

Look I've been calling for this guy to play for a while. Statistically he should be playing and when I bring him up or start a thread about him there are guys around here that bash the kid. I'm tired of Woody and those fans that aren't paying attention to the fact that he's mostly an efficient scorer and we've needed some efficiency off the bench on offense. Rather than burn players out this kid could've given some good minutes this year and he didn't get a chance.

Then make your case, you just made a good one right there. The other stuff is realgm, and I know you're better than that, you just proved it.

I have a thread regarding this subject with all the evidence I need. This was me venting at guys that I know never even bothered to look into it. I'm not someone that just spouts off for no reason. I always have a proof for the argument I make on this forum. Doesn't mean I can't get angry at some obvious hater talk.

Whatever floats your boat Nix, you have been going this route lately. Knock yourself out.

Hey man whatever. I just said I made a legit thread that has my case all laid out. I'm not allowed to vent some anger at the posters who bash the kid without even knowing the facts? I'm within my rights to vent once in a while. Most of the time I just post facts. My record is here for all to see. I'm not apologizing for any of this. Try to find a thread were I fail to back up what I say with ample facts.

Let me get this straight...you've been wrong on basically 99% of things. From Isiah to D'Antoni to everything in between and you didn't like when people brought that up. But now you feel the need to say "FU haters" to people about a scrub like Copeland and are tyring to justify your anger. Hypocrisy at its finest.

I make points about a lot more than the few things you just mentioned and I usually am not wrong based on facts. It's easy to cherry pick just the issues where things didn't workout and totally ignore all other BB issues we discuss as if I never make valid points. That's fine, but i'll be glad to start making a list of every point you make and see how you're track record holds up. It's been real easy to take negative position regarding the Knicks over the last decade and end up thinking you're some genius.

This team needs Woody to do a better job right now. He's got a tough job but the team needs him to make some better decisions in order to get thru the rest of this season. Really haven't liked how he's handled things recently. Ignoring Melo when he asked out of the game and then hurt himself and then playing him tonight made no sense.

Pacers was the worst. Then second rockets game. This is up there though.

I think I have to go with the Sixer loss. The Warriors, Pacers, and Rockets are good, playoff-bound teams at least. The Sixers are terrible. That blowout was inexcusable.

The Kings loss was bad too although via buzzer beater

One thing is to lose to the Warriors.

Another different thing is not caring and allowing them to drub you by almost 30 points.

They have played many games like this one, yet you should act happy and not worried about it?

This team has mental issues, real ones. I don't believe in switching on for the playoffs. If you have trouble getting up for games like this, you have serious issues.

Phew indeed- was starting to worry he had the same meniscus tear as Lin last year. I hope he goes back to playing the way he did at the start of the season though- more defense and more sharing the ball.

Funny thing is, listening to the radio today most of the fans didn't want him to play..I think most fans are sick of seeing ISO melo

The most vocal Knick fans aren't representative of most knick fans- I remember JVG said that, and that's something Ewing didn't realize when he asked for a trade, he thought most Knick fans wanted him gone.

Terrible game, terrible loss- though only on these boards can Cope be the one who gets criticized!

Awful game- must purge it from my mind as it's wiped out all the hope the Jazz game gave me...

Well Well Well guess I glad I went to sleep in the 3rd quarter and missed my first 2 quarters of the year. A while ago I made a post about the early excitement of the season slipping away. Now the excitement is completely gone

For Nixluva also -

This sums it up, both on the radio and here. There is an 80 - 20 rule you can apply to most things. In this case, 20% of UK are making the most posts. Also, only a small %age of UK are making the most posts against Cope. Most of us like him. Some of us like him a lot....for what he is and can do. Shooter off the bench.

Cope is not just a shooter. He is Melo lite. Meaning you cant play him with Melo but you can definitely use him off the bench to spell melo and keep him under 35mins. Why I see this and Woodson making millions does not is beyond me

Didn't read through the thread, but no prigs in the 1st half? The one guy that embodies ball movement and team play?

Hey, he and Shump held TheRightCurry to 26 points! Did you really want to see Prigs scrambling around screens and picks 5 minutes after the ball hit the bottom of the net? Was Prigs going to increase everyone's shooting %?

Don't get me wrong, I love the Prigs, but we couldn't throw the ball into that empty space between Dolan's ears last night. And no amount of PNR's and lob passes to Chandler was going to equal 30 points.

Hint: highlight for the Knicks was Melo getting his own rebound and missing an open 8 foot j.

the +/- quite revealing in this game: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400278667

Starters, JRSmith were horrid and Kmart only Knicks player in the positive. Bench in low minus range.

Papabear Says

I can almost agree with what you are saying. What really bothers me is how we do all this switching and Curry was still wide open. It's like we know the ball is going to him and we can't stop him. They were raining 3s and Woody couldn't make any ajustments. We need to do what every team now do to novak they just stay with him. We continue to make the same mistakes. I will also say this if all of the players on the court don't feel that they are a part of the offense instead of watching JR Smith and felton hoisting up shots and that include Melo this team will have problems staying focusted.

It was the kind of loss that made you feel like we'd never win another game ever again. I hope we bounce back from it big time against the Nuggets, but man I suddenly feel sick about this road trip...

Shump got off to a nice start with 8 points in the first - doesn't score the rest of the game. Melo with 14. Team with 9 4th quarter points? Holy crap, I am thankful I decided on bed after a decent 1st quarter!

Worried about Thursday in Denver. Chances we roll with a Felton/JR/Melo/K-Mart/Camby line up at any stretch of the game?
