Statically they are both below avg and according to synergy Lin is the better defender. Although Synergy is not perfect but Lin is statically better.

I think both will improve and both could have worked here. I like Lin and I like Felton. I do believe Felton needs to shoot less and will once Amar'e and Shump gets back. Also, Hopefully Tyson will help Felton out like he is helping Kidd out by taking shots and driving to the basket which would take some more shots away from Felton.

So, just a question..U have seen both players with your own eyes??..Who is a better defender??

Slight edge to Felton on experience. Lin is a better PG

U do know PG are required to play defense as well...Edge Felton...

defense is not running around drunk like Felton and TD.

Lin plays much better team defense and is a far smarter defender.

Weren't the knicks a better defensive team with Lin at PG that Felton?

I agree with you on the Tyson part. Tyson does not protect the lane but he is a good on ball shot blocker. Felton still needs to improve just like everyone on the team.

Yea but its not all on Tyson. Tyson's defense has been very erratic. Felton has been getting beat backdoor all year whether its tyson, KT, Sheed or Camby trying to protect the paint

Maybe but those stat dudes are clueless. It might be like having a Ferrari but not knowing how to drive. Anyone paying attention to +/- just doesn't know how to use stats.

Oh man, it's nice to hear someone else say that. It's become so common to talk about individual player's +/- in single games that I'd pretty much stopped even talking about it. No one should be using +/- unless you're talking about 3, 4, and 5-man lineups.
