STAT is healthy and quick again...Most important take from this game..

Knicks looks rusty...Long layoff between games so early hurt...

They look like 5 individuals out there...

Kidd and Felton in the back court looked promising early but coach didn't come back to it in the second...

This team is very deep...

Chandler still had hands of stone...

We need a reliable shooter at the two...

They need more reps...

People needs to relax, it's preseason...Rust all around...

Celts tomorrow....

Prigioni rocks steady.

On second thought, Prigioni might be better than Felton.

Defintely a better decision maker.

How dare you take it back now.

No can do. I am glad however that Felton is trying harder this time around to run the offense. We'll see what happens when the roster is made whole.

I am not that worried about Felton because he usually doesn't turn the ball over. Trying to force balls to Amar'e and Chandler is a learning process. He will learn that Chandler is not great at picking up the ball when passed below his shoulders.

With Melo shooting: I was not mad at Novak when he went 1-7 or something and not mad when a player takes a 3 in rhythm 3. Not taking open 3 can create problems. Did he force some plays yes I counted maybe 3 or 4 but every player does. For the most part he was dishing out of the double and making his swing passes plus finding Chandler and Amar'e down low. What I don't like is him continuing to miss the backside cutter. He usually didn't pass to Fields and did the same with Priggs. Needs to trust his teammates even though Priggs has struggle scoring inside.

STAT looked decent but needs work but that's normal.

Defense needs to get better. Stop switching everything. Overall, I liked most of what i saw from the O and think the D needs improving.

Coach's meeting: hit the glass harder, keep working on plays to get Novak open, everyone shoot an extra 50 free throws after practice.

Also, no one got injured, so as far as I'm concerned, the game's a success.

Don't you know losing during pre-season means your season is over. I guess the NBA will have to cancel the regular season since every single team has the Knicks lost during the NBA pre-season.

Fixed. Remember its okay when other teams lose because they got ballerz, bubbling with potential...The Knicks got old geezers, and we are overrated at every spot.

so...that was fun

ok...everyone says melo + amare...f that...y'all problems is amare + chandler. they can't play together b/c your idiot coach uses chandler on the pick up top instead of amare. amare has to set the pick, if he doesn't, he is totally useless out there.

kidd + prigioni are too old y'all. asking for 82 games and then post season is too much. better hope shumpert + brewer are healthy.

and melo + amare are finishers - they do not make other players better.

I like White and Copeland but would still try to get Peitrus and K-mart for the min. White is ok because so many 2s are out now but K-mart could take more pressure off of Chandler against agile bigs. That's something Tyson continues to struggle with.

I think the minutes behind Amare are going to be important..I'll like to replace KT with KMart as you suggested..But our shooting is still lacking...They are still looking to Melo when the offense freezes up..But it's the first game with STAT, Melo and Felt..Let's not get ahead of ourselves..They have a very long way to go...
Also Melo has to recognize the double is coming...STAT looks sharper than I thought he would...

I like White because of his defense and I hear he jumps out the gym...He looks confident shooting as well...So I want to keep him around to see if he gains confidence...Woody will earn his money this year with the minutes...

Guys have off nights and the energy/focus wasn't there tonight.......... I understand that.

The only thing that pissed me off was why was Stat letting some rookie Euro push him around??? Kurt Thomas didn't let Johnson have his way with him, he would rather foul out then let some Young buck go at him in iso and have his way under the boards.

If this "rook" will develop he will be one of the top centers in NBA. Amare cannot defend anything not talking about big centers.

2 biggest problems:
Chandler, Melo, Stat frontcourt is useless - no space to play bbal at all.
The team is slow - running/gunning teams will blow us out of the buildings.

I think he is talking about Kurt getting into it with Amir johnson not the 5th pick in the draft last year.

Amare stil thinks he is a Suppermen (which he never was). Ne need to get real and start playing using his head if he want some more good years in NBA.

Actually, it's Eddy Curry who thinks he's Supperman.

Summary

-we didnt match up with their athletes. We needed jr shump and brewer
-jumpshooting bigmen always bother tyson
-some of those shots by lowry were insane...u simply cant guard that
-ive always argued that melo and stat can play together just fine. To me its tyson and stat thats the issue
-stat does have more legit post moves...he jus need to finish
-melo had a good first half then startd to play hero ball
-ray had many turnovers. I still like his game. He understands angles for scoring and passing
-kidd is holding back for preservaton. He still has game
-kurt is a thug
-prigoni is better than i thought on d. Lots of steals and masers the pnr

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I'm loving Prigioni's game....hes a very good point guard. He's running the team very well out there. I'm loving his leadership.

Copeland looks like a rotation guy. Felton needs to find his game, he looks lost.

Carmelo needs to figure out what is a good or bad shot...he needs to stop launching and drive the ball!!!

+1 Was thinking the same thing about Melo.

Make "The Sacrifice" he already has his 23pts

How much do you want him to score, 14?

He had 23 when the game was still manageable but he just couldn't help himself from the Heat Checks

I'm talking about both. Crazy eyes got isolated a couple times by the Raptors with Amir and took offense to it. He dug in, started pushing back on D and under the boards.......... he picked up 3 or 4 fouls, but he didn't let AJ just push him around.

I didn't like how that Euro rookie was pushing Stat around under boards. Stat looked great on offense, I just don't like how physical the rook got with stat and really didn't physical back.
