Beyond any sign-and-trade talks, Mavericks remain in talks w/Steve Nash as well, sources say. I'm told Raps aren't conceding yet, either

I think the JR Smith stuff could be him venting about Shump, seems like they were pretty close going to clubs together and stuff. Also maybe the Knicks just told him they couldn't sign him, he figured he would get the MLE when the Novak/Lin stuff settled. IDK, I'd like to keep him and Shump. That bench really won us some games last year.

My comment was because of the many angry Knicks players venting on twitter for no clear reason.

The #Bucks have offered Ersan Ilyasova a five-year contract, and it's on the table. Will be interesting to see if he takes it or moves on.

The trade talks for Dwight Howard are "heating up" source says. #Nets have deal 90% done, just need 3rd team to help finalize deal.

With or w/out Nash, sources say, Raps will keep trying to trade for Kyle Lowry. Raps talked deals w/HOU at draft. Still want him either way

We need Nash to say NYK and only NYK and then work with the Raps, Houston and Phx to get this done in favor of everyone.

You peeps supporting a deal to bring Nash in

If you think Nash, Melo, Amare, JR Smith and Tyson Chandler will compete for a NBA Championship
with Chandler the only defender in the mix, I feel sorry for us & knicks fans next season

You cannot let I.Shumpert go for Defense for all pro PG (non defender) in Steve Nash

You want to guarantee a NBA Champion title in 1-2 yrs with the trade I say yea

But aint no one on this board will fork over their paycheck to guarantee Knicks can beat Heat, Bulls, Thunder, LAL, LAC
and on and on

This is going to go down as one of worst trades in Knicks History
Not even going to have Amare Stoudemire for full 70-82 game season much less the playoffs from Mr Broken back himself. (sorry stout)

The Founders worked July 4, so...source confirms sign/trade talks between Knicks/Suns 4 Nash back on, w/NY now willing 2 include Shumpert.

David Aldridge ‏@daldridgetnt
However, another source cautions that Nash has yet to decide where he wants to go, &?Suns have to see if NO matches Eric Gordon offer sheet.

Alright, now that this Shump for Nash business is gone what are we going to do? My plan would be to resign Lin and Novak and then contact OJ Mayo and see what it would take to get him in NY. Also, see if Camby might be willing to come here for the minimum.

Key to remember: Knicks still have pieces without Iman for a $6m sign&trade free agent. Expect them to remain aggressive.

Carmelo was overheard saying, "Nash didn't want to play with a ball stopper so he's going to play with Kobe?"

Frank Isola ‏@FisolaNYDN
Knicks didn't get used. They made a sincere effort to get Nash and didn't. Still have Shumpert and other options. Minor set back

I'd probably guarantee that Mayo's too expensive. The Knicks will probably have to choose between Camby and Kidd for the 3 Million mid-level (as neither will take the minimum based on what I read) and then do something with the LLE and vet minimums. Both options are good and Knicks should probably sign Camby for the mid if Kidd decides he wants Dallas. There are still options...

I was thinking Mayo was out of our price range also but I haven't heard about any team looking to sign him. It's possible that he's not in high demand which would bring his price down. I'll at least keep my fingers crossed.

Not sure if Mayo is going to be too expensive - he's arguably been exposed as not exceptional at anything... and a less-than-elite athlete. With that said, I'd say he has the potential to be an average starting SG in the NBA.

What Iman (when he returns 100% healthy) has over him is elite defense, athleticism, and finishing ability.

What Landry Fields has over him is elite rebounding and size at SG. He also moves well w/o the ball (while Mayo is still learning how to play off the ball - He thinks he's a PG and is outspoken about that - while Iman talks about doing whatever it takes to contribute).

Wow. Fields signs for more than Beasley.

Steve Nash made a smart move. He wants to be in the entertainment industry after he quits playing. LA is a good place to be.

Now Kidd singing praises about Dallas.

Knicks need to get some young guys.

Blazers offer max to Hibbert - money well spent.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!
