We have no backup PG
we might not have a SG or back up SG healthy
we have no stretch 4
we have no athletic forward
we have no legit shot blocking center

Super athletic my ass, Super athletic in Europe means average to under average athletic in the US

Add him to the list that won't come over, like I said the last 2 Euros that came to us

Gallo/MozGov, they played well for us and they went bye bye quick as can be...

None of these needs would be addressed by the 48th pick in the draft but keep on believing that fantasy.

Tell that to Isaiah Thomas.

I don't understand why it not fair for some to question the pick. Just not sold.

Oh, okay. Please being up more exceptions to the rule. Because there are many late 2nd round selections in the rotations of title-contending teams.

they drafted a lot of players that we were hoping to fall out of the draft or acquire with extra picks

GREAT picks with players that could contribute now and still develop...

The fact is that some pan out and some don't. So for you to completely discredit what Ron said is untrue. There is a possibility that we could have at least gained a rotation player. We didn't but you cannot say that the possibility was not there. It was there for every team with a 2nd round pick.

Machado...buford...sims and thompson were undrafted...so we can give tyem a ****
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Kinda like the reaction to fields, jorts & shump. This happens every yr

Why is the possibility gone? Because you don't know who it is? Because he's not coming over? Because he's a Euro? Because we didn't draft a guy that people just heard of 2 days ago and wanted badly for no apparent reason like every year? The guy can be a good player in the league and he's an asset to have because he is young and upcoming and starts for the Euroleague champions. There was nobody at that draft position in this draft that would have made an impact. Nobody. If there was, we would have drafted him. Every year various players get overhyped on the forums and then disappear into oblivion. This year is no different.

Alot of people here were not sold on Fields, Shump or Jorts. Happens every yr under the Grunwald Regime

Maybe he can be our undrafted gem this year backing up Lin.

I get what you're saying Ron Ron we could've basically tried to get a diamond in the rough but I would like to point out

We have Amare Stoudemire - who will return to form and start posterizing people again
Tyson Chandler is a legit shot blocking/altering center

Other than that yeah a stretch 4, SG and backup PG would be nice but hopefully if JR Smith remembers he's supposed to have cruise missile range and shump comes back healthy we're good at the 2.

backup PG = $3M midlevel exception no?

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

The possibility is gone because he will not be here next season............
I never had a problem with "not knowing who he is"
Like I said before, you do not know if anybody who we passed on or who was picked after us would have made an impact. You. do. not. know.
No one overhyped anyone. Everyone recognizes that these players have flaws.
You're argument about "various players" can be argued for these draft and stash guys who don't pan out or never come over.
Once again, you can not say that anyone we passed on would have been worse than our pick.

uh, what year's roster are you looking at?

no legit shotblocking center? have you heard of tyson chandler.

no stretch 4? may i introduce you to steve novak.

might not have a SG or backup SG? JR Smith and Iman Shumpert (who, yes, will be out until january or february, not the end of the world, toney can play spot minutes and word is they are looking to sign a SG in FA)

no athletic forward? um. carmelo anthony and amar'e stoudemire.

no backup PG? okay, granted, but again that's what the MLE is for. we have the MLE and LLE to address guard depth.
