And that will make the NY Knicks better?

What is your best idea for a back up pg?

Do you think Lin is ready to play on a level of basketball we saw the last week?

What are you asking? Do you want Lin to be Lebron? Because if you're comparing him to a Heat player it should be Chalmers.

Oh Im talking Charlmers ..

You don't believe that Lin is at least as good as Chalmers?

Question isn't whether he is better than Charlmers?..Does Lin at PG help us compete against Miami?

Lin & kidd do at least give us a better chance than the rest of the east

I don't want a better chance, I want the best chance..Did you question Felton's age at 27 and have no issue with Kidd at 40?

So Holfresh what is your plan since you belive everyone is an idiot except you?

I know you don't like to read but exactly how many times should I write it before it shows up on your radar?

So what would you do with the MLE? Radar showed up lol

Just in case you are not joking..We need a PG who can make Amare play like Amare..

Ok i agree thats all i was asking lol

U must have missed the 10 times I said it in this thread..

I loved Camby I still cant believe we traded him. Such a terrible trade. How do U trade a 6'11" Double Double guy who had 5 years controlled on the deal at 5 million a year

His house wasn't robbed, his Mother and sister were taken hostage. It's a bit different. Also, we traded him for a player in McDyess who was coming off of major knee surgery.

God, as much as I hate Isiah and the 7 years he ran things, I'm reasonably sure that Layden was that much worse. At least Isiah had a couple of good draft picks, Layden's best move was trading Sprewell for KVH. How bad do you have to be at your job that one of the worst trades in Knicks history was your best move?

Layden lasted 2 years. Isiah lasted 5 years. Isiah did more damage to this franchise in the short and long-term. Hell, he was doing damage long after he was fired. He traded our 2010 lottery pick for Marbury.

Layden was hired in 1999 and fired in 2003. He's the one who drafted Weis instead of Artest; traded Ewing for a bunch of broken down, overpaid role players; gave Houston a 7-year, $100M contract; traded Camby and Nene for McDyess... Layden did plenty to screw over our future.

Layden was not the GM until 2001. Ed Tapscott was in that position.

He didn't draft Weis, Ewing trade was his fault, Dolan gave Houston that contract and the Nene/Camby/Jackson for McDyess trade was praised at the time.

Unfortunately, wikipedia is the only source I could find. Looks like I was wrong about about Weis but, according to this article, right about the other moves.

Holfresh we know you don't like Lin you stated it during the season. All I can say is he will be a knick for a long time and you will just have to learn to live with it. I can't believe the animosity towards a young player who essentially is our own homegrown talent. He may not have been drafted by the knicks but he sure made a name for himself wearing our very own orange and blue. Be happy about it when was the last time we had a young player on the cheap who you know is only going to get better. Ewing? Mark jackson, rod strickland, camby, nene,, lee, gallo & wilson were all traded away. Lets be glad Lin is going to be a knick

No on Nash and no to Kidd. They guy everyone is scared to say is Delonte West. Can play the 1 and 2 plus defend. Everyone knows his issues but I think he would be a great choice and he would not be afraid of any moment.

Too many tangents here...first lin now scott layden..lol...then internet beef...lol

Overall...lin has the potential to b a decent pg..the main things to worry abt is his knee and not running an mda offense...pgs tend to look great in mda offenses...anywyas whether we like it or not...he will b he starting pg...woody already declared that...if nash or kidd come...which they WONT...they will b tutoring lin...and thats exactly y they wont come...dolan knows lin is a marketing jackpot...so he will pressure woody to play him...unless ur mark sanchez..were not gonna have a backip who will get more attention than lin

THe more realistic option is felton...yes he might be fatter than his first time around...but he can at least serfe as a decent back up

Next we have 3sg...we dont need anoher

We need front court help...i vote to get camby and odom

Please forgive my typos..my cel phone sux)

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Isiah is an awful executive and should never run a professional team again but I agree at least he has a job as a talent scout. By that I mean draft scout. Crawful, curry, nazr, tim thomas all young & athletic but in essense all one dimensional bums

Weis over artest was on interim gm ed tapscott. Arguing who is worst layden or isiah has always imo been a waste of time. Be happy Donnie walsh sorta spearheaded the organization and how it is run in the right direction despite hiring dantoni, getting nothing for marbury buy banishing him then letting lee go for a broken $20mil so called franchise player/superstar in amare but at least the knicks have developed a ton of young talent even after walsh and the melo trade which hasn't happened in over 40yrs of ny basketball. I have great faith in grunwald, h20 & woody to make the right decisions. And in in heart of hearts they will use the mle and vet mins wisely not on the jerome james and jared jeffries of the world
