+2 All the championship contending teams have the same option at the end. Thats why the trade was a must.
If the games come down to 1 possession then true but if not?
Get it to him anyway, if this was earlier in the season. This probably would have been a jump shot by felton or tony douglas. They never got the ball to the best scorer. I recognize Billups on that one, they played melo well, and Chauncey waited and got it to him. You ride your stars in crunch time.
We beat the Pacers at MSG with the former team this year and it didn't take a clutch shot to pull out the victory and we held them comfortably under 100. I get a kick out of fans that think games are going to exclusively come down to 1 possession in the post-season
oh man you miss the point. We beat alot of teams comfortably, earlier in the season what does that mean?
It's a team game, obviously if the team isnt playing well, then they won't win. But the point is, when the game is on the line in crunch time in the playoffs, the offense is usually run through the best players. It is great that we have Melo and Stat to take those shots. Boston has Pierce, Bulls have Rose, Lakers have Kobe, Heat have Wade and James, OKC has Durant, and now knicks have Melo.
They are called "closers"
We got one
