2) always look at pace (based on number of possessions) not points per game to determine efficiency

we are 2nd in the nba in pace factor:

however, we are only ranked 19th in defensive efficiency after starting off well early on.

I think the missed games due to injury by Turiaf has effected this team negatively. The team needs to have what he gives us on D. If AR's head was right he could help. Timo will have to step up and learn how to defend without the stupid ticky tac fouls. He gets so many insignificant touch and bump fouls that have no reason to be made. If he just maintained a safe distance from his man and moved his feet, he'd be a very good defender. It's when he reaches or throws himself at his man that problems arise. Gallo used to do that a lot too. It must be a Euro thing. They make unnecessary body contact that seems intentional. It's like they think that's part of good D. One announcer said that they get away with that in Euro ball and so they tend to do it on instinct.
