They are numb to the guy. Did you see their body language?

We are going to have to slow the offense down and play some D. Plain and simple.

WTF is so hard about saying "Guys, you were running and we built a big lead and as soon as you gave that up we started to lose."

I don't think the guy ever had them. Amare, Turiaf, those guys have made these guys a team. The lack of preperation, execution, plays for coming out of time outs, playing undersized, shooting too many 3's, that is all on the coach and that has all been happening for 2+ years.

I'd take Lawrence Frank.

He's an assistant coach for the Celtics right now, but a real hard worker, and a lot of game prep. And for extra mojo, I think he still holds the record for the longest winning streak for a new head coach (when he first got promoted with the Nets) Don't know if they'll even allow him to interview while an assistant though.

I have not been an advocate of firing the guy but i have been watching these games and he sucks. The roster needs to play more together but seriously, the coaching is at fault for a lot of this.

Who would we get?

No clue - i don't even know who is available and our coaching + roster have been a revolving door for years which is not good. It's a viscous cycle.

Someone talk me off the ledge with this team - I am seriously livid and frustrated after watching this game. I just dint know what to think and my reaction is to trash the coach because this was so embarrassing.

Don't jump. Life is just a mirage- a temporary one at that, and to become attached to a franchise and group of players who don't know you exist is folly.

I'm sure some of the current 'commentators' would love a shot I can think of two off the top of my head. I think d'Antoni gets to the trade deadline to make good. There is talent on that team. Certainly is young though. I'd guess gets two years unless we wind up trading picks.

1) When you are getting pounded like they did tonight you put the bigs in play.
2) you call time out to cool their jets and break the pace.
3) In the end game there is a time to foul.
4) Our guys were hitting the open looks making a run and just faded....no help on Beasley for Chandler.

Terrible loss. A win would do wonders. Maybe Turiaf comes back soon?

I love Frank as a coach. I don't think he is available and I think the Celtics would be crazy to let him go. In addition to being a good coach he knows the NY media and hires vet assistants.

I would like MJAX also but I think he needs to be hired in the offseason and be given the chance to bring in a vet assistant to help him his first couple of years.

Talk about adding insult to injury. Die-hard fans, as the name suggest, are hard to kill. But the truth is, this team and this franchise is making that statement hard to stand. This is bordering on extreme masochism, and unfortunately Im being serious.

Its the coaching that worries me the most. They have the talent to make the playoffs. I gave D'Antoni a pass for the first 2 years for coaching like he was looking ahead to 2010 because many fans were doing the same thing. But its starting to look like he just doesn't have a clue. Like I said, SSOL was working this game and he ditched it and we lost.

You give him the year and see what happens. Too many changes on this roster to dump him now. I also want to see how he does when our entire roster is healthy and available to him.

I'm as pissed off as everyone is, but I think you have to play out the season with MDA at the helm and take action at the end of the season if you really want to get rid of him.

Sad thing is, if the season ends and we are one of the worst teams in the league, there won't be a reset button to save us. It would be a lost season, like many before but the first after our supposed "resurgence" coming off the 2010 offseason. I would agree if it was another type of coach, a traditional one, but this style is making the talent worse than it actually is and may make some of these players develop terrible bad habits. Just thinking about D'Antoni telling Fields to cut less when the alternative for him is to camp outside and shoot a contested three makes me facepalm.

Watching some of the highlights on NBA.com and just got to say, Amare does not know how to box out. They should have changed the matchup last night and put Wilson on Love and Gallo on Beasley. Monday morning QB.

Wilson was on Love. AR was the only one boxing him out. Mozgov was doing pretty well rebounding, too, with 5rebs in 11min.

And who is Kevin Love? Yet another player gets a banner night against the Knicks.

Amare was NEVER a good rebounder even in Phoenix. I dont expect him to turn into Bill Russel at age 27.

strangely, that's what it was in the first half but not the second. No idea why they switched it.

We need to hid those 3s. D'Antoni won't change. Shoot the 3s.

Thats why there's a calling for mikes head, his match ups on defense are ridiculous, and the adjustments are worse

Minny went smaller at one point. I dont know if they switched before but that could have been it.
