Now that we seem to have the team pretty much together(besides summer league min.$$ contracts)I wonder if we will bring Earl Barron back. He had such a nice run when he was with us last year, I'm just glad Walsh is protecting cap space for the next 2 offseasons. I hope he gives in and signs a multi year contract with a team option after next year.

Weber had good things to say about the gum that he scraped off at the bottom of his shoe, during that interview. I couldn't get anything out of that.

It's still a good signing though.

I caught that part of the interview on rewind. He said that Timofey was a 10 in the areas he worked him out in. He said he hadn't seen a workout like it. He also talked about how great an Amare Timofey frontline could be at times. It sounds like he thinks Tim is a player. He did say on several occasions that you never know until he is on the court with 9 other guys.

From Sheridan's article about the knicks introducing new players:
Walsh also said there had been "a mix-up of some kind" recently between the Knicks and the representatives of center Earl Barron, who played the final seven games of last season with New York, but that the Knicks were still interested in re-signing the 7-footer.

If they are looking to bring Earl Barron back too, then you have to think Eddy Curry is on his way out. Sooner than later.

“I'm in seventh heaven. So far I just can’t believe my luck. A contract with the NBA club is the peak of any basketball player’s career. Now I am going to put my nose to the grindstone to make it into the Knicks’ starting five,” Mozgov told Sovetsky Sport newspaper.

Great attitude but I don't think he knows anything about the coach.

I would like it more if Timofey ended every interview with "I must break you".

if he dies... he dies

If we get Barron Back that gives us 4 Seven Footers. Barron, Mozgov, JJordan, And A. Randolph(after reports of growth spurt)...
I can't recall any team in the NBA team having that much height in recent memory.

Things are looking very nice for us with Gallinari taking open shots, Stoudemire causing havoc, and Felton penetrating and dishing....
I can't wait for the season to start.

It sounds impressive, but of those guys JJordan isn't going to play this year (he's not ready), and Mosgov is a project, so may not give us anything either. The more I think about it, once you get over how big the front line is, in terms of actually guys ready to contribute now, it's pretty thin- I really hope Anthony Randolph breaks through this year, but there is a chance he might not. That leaves us with Amar'e and Turriaf, who is a 20 min player coming off a serious injury. It's a bit worrying- so yes definitely sign Barron if we can (and remember if we don't, he probably goes to Miami!).

I haven't even bothered mentioning Curry, because every year I've supported him and thought "maybe this is the year!", but I'm not making that mistake again! I would have liked to have seen if we could have swapped him for Tyson Chandler (Larry Brown becomes starngely nostalgic for ex-players, suddenly coveting ones he hated at the time, then he trades for them then remembers why he hated them), as it would have been a low risk (we wouldn't of been giving up anything) and high reward (he has a better chance of contributing rebounds and blocks that eddy Curry), but looks like with the pending trade to Toronto thats out the window!
