"We've been really happy. He's got a lot of potential offensively and defensively," Morey said of Hill. "Offensively he's got that jump hook, good offensive rebounder. His defense is more potential, but it's so hard to defend as a rookie. But he's got good instincts. He's got a shot at being a rotation guy for us."

But we never hear about these outings because they'd be a detriment to those who act like we just gave up a SUPERSTAR in the MAKING. We have to post his 12 point 8 rebound games and pretend those are his WORST games. Yeah, that's the ticket. Pretend he's a superstar. The hell is wrong with you guys.

Jordan Hill is trash. Sure, he's had a couple of nice games for Houston. He had a couple of nice games FOR US as well. Three I think. Whoas me.

It simply amazes me how many fans are irate over dumping this clown.

You'd think we traded Tim Duncan in his prime reading some of the crap on here about Jordan Hill.

F Jordan Hill provided another lift off the bench when the Rockets were struggling, but this time did it very differently than in previous games, hitting the offensive boards. Hill scored 11 points by cutting to the rim to take passes inside, but gave the Rockets help on the other end, blocking five shots in 27 minutes, easily the most of his rookie season.
The kid didn't even get off the bench for 20 games while he was in NY. He played over 15 minutes 3 times and never hit the twenty minute mark. How can you have any opinion on his ability when his minutes were so limited?

Cosmic, what has he done since given a chance? He has played well and would have been doing that here if given a chance.
I don't get your post as you are proving the opposite point. DNP's and a few minutes here and there for a lottery pick on a lottery bound team???

It has taken him just a few games to get his presence felt. We F'd up. I hope we do well in FA next year and I hope D'Antoni learns to coach better with what he has.

What is Jordan Hill's trade value after playing him minutes for 5 games?

What is Toney Douglas's value after playing 5 games?

All we had to do is to commit to play the kids and we wouldve had more information to use for decision making.

because in Cosmic's world, unless you come out & dominate right out the gate, you're a bust.

who cares about young players & their value when we already know Lebron, Bosh, Wade, Dirk, Yao, Joe Johnson are all signing with us this summer... & don't forget we get to keep Mr. DeBusschere himself, David Lee.

Really, I would have preferred (in hindsight) Mark Jackson to what D'Antoni has done. I had no idea coach would be so anal with rookies on a lotto bound team. Absolute failure. If we had traded Jordan Hill after playing him more you know we would have got more for him. You also can book on us having more wins and Jackson would have been given Douglas minutes. (Also, anyone could coach 2 max's, Jackson would have been fine though I'm not sure he would help attract the max's)

What's more, we could have given up less (no pick swap or pick) if Jordan played well. We might have even gotten rid of Curry if Hill played well. The thing that gets most of us is that Hill wasn't given a chance and now he is playing pretty good. The same is true of Douglas and the coach is shocked? That tells a lot.

dunno what kinda job Mark Jackson woulda done but i have a hard time believing almost any other coach wouldn't have done a better job than the one MDA's done so far as our head coach... just playing the rookies & doing nothing else would have netted better results for the longterm future of this franchise than the way this team has been handled the past 2 years... that raises the value of those young kids & also gives us a chance to evaluate more clearly whether or not we should hold onto them or use them as trade assets... we did neither... we gave up Jordan Hill & our future draft rights to 2 more picks because we didn't take the time to try & develop him this season... obviously the Houston Rockets knew what they were doing when they asked for Hill to be included in that deal... reading up on Jordan Hill's facebook he sounds pretty damn happy to be in Houston & learning a new system & getting the chance to show what he can do... i don't blame him... he's in a much, much better situation now.
