Went to the game, had nice $40 face value for $20 seats in section 336. Unfortunately I had a Boston Celtics fan right behind me who was on Brandon Jennings jock and yelled "YOUNG MONEY!" every time BJ took a shot. He admitted to me that he was that guy who goes to MSG to root for Kobe, LeBron, Joe Johnson, etc. So here I am, a long time Knicks fan at my first game this season, yelling my voice out for my team... and here is this guy, who I'm guessing has more loot/pull than me, who is one of the many starphucker/tourist types that make their presence known rooting for the other guys.

The guy actually had some charisma and knew his basketball probably more than me, but was obnoxious in that way I think Boston fans just are... the guy booed C.C. Sabbathia when he got acknowledged in the front row. I tried to give it back to the guy throughout the night, but my team didn't prove this guy wrong.

I feel like the quarter is the microcosm of the game, and the game the microcosm of the season. We are good enough to give us a chance to win, but not good enough to go over the top, and not bad enough to concede to garbage time. But the promise of that win has riding his 8 horses until their legs & backs give out. I don't understand why there isn't 10 minutes for Jordan Hill or Toney Douglas. Gallo's body mechanics in person looked hella awkward to me, Al was maddening with the head down bullying to the hole, and Lee's season high felt like a very quiet season high. In part because Ilyasova, who was D-Lee's cover a lot of the times, was lighting him up. I love the work D-Lee has put in, but still when a guy shoots and he doesn't put a hand up, it makes me crazy.

It was nice to go to the game but definitely was a frustrating result.

honestly, I hope we trade him to a team that has a clue and I hope we max out lee and resign Harrington.. that will give me every reason to stop rooting and to watch gallo come back and bust our asses two times or more every year... since we know this team can't guard a damn soul!

Nah, no reason to go that route out of frustration.

They key is ending this season and then we can stop the foolishness and start building our future team of which Gallo should be a big part of.

Yet, I do have my concerns. He isn't healthy and it shows. I think he's also a bit overweight because he seems slow out there. I also am tired of the lack of aggression. Now, some of that is due to his teammates and due to how D'Antoni is just making him a spot up 3pt player. Yet Gallo also does some stupid things. He doesn't rise and fire over a 6 footer guarding him. Instead he swings the ball around and then tries to do a dribble to get free, doesnt get free because he's too slow, then doesn't know what to do.

You see what that scrub Ilyasov did last night? That is how Gallo should play. Aggressive, elusive, dynamic. That is how Gallo CAN play.

The kid, like every other player on this team, is lost.

Our offense isn't offense. It's a guy standing still, looking around, pass to the guy to the left or right, who takes a dribble or two and either jacks a shot or picks up the dribble, holds the ball, looks around, whips it to another player to his left or right who then jacks an off balance deep shot.

I mean, that's a joke. But that's part of the overall low IQ of the team and the inability for ANY ONE of our players to create. None of these guys can legitimately create once they get the ball and get defended! They don't know how!

NONE OF THEM.

So they all contribute to each other's failure and Gallo is not excused from this.

I've always felt you can live with one bonehead or one selfish player. Once you got two or three on the court at the same time? You have zero offensive flow. Zero.

So, honestly TKF, it's time to stop analyzing every game and just wait until 2010 when we shed the bums and finally are able to start building a new team.

cosmic the sad thing about this team is that I was expecting some guy who has been in the dumps to have great game vs us.. Illyasova over his past 3 games combined for 17/5.. LOL.. last night he exceeded his output over the past 3 games.. Illysova was even removed from the starting lineup... but it goes to show how bad we are... Difference is, there is really no pecking order on the bucks now that redd is gone.. everyone gets a piece of the pie...

I agree, it is time to stop analyzing every game, but when gallo doesn't score 20, you get the peanut gallery critizing his every move.. He has a good game, they dissapear... But I am not Ok with wasting this year.. that is pretty much what you are saying.. what is next year going to bring cosmic.. these kids are going to be a year behind.. right now they should have major roles.... I mean what the hell are we doing right now?

TKF do you really have a choice ? what Cosmic said was true:

"I do have my concerns. He isn't healthy and it shows. I think he's also a bit overweight because he seems slow out there. I also am tired of the lack of aggression. JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

My 35+ years of basketball says Gallo did not play hard--my bet is anyone who really watches basketball would agree with me.

in my 35+ years of basketball says gallo played hard but maybe not very well.... My bet is anyone who really watches and knows basketball would agree with me.....

wow.. that was easy...

No way--he was playing soft and and without energy--he looked lethargic out there[in fact even Mike Breen said it]. Jees did you buy a box of chocolates for Gallo? Do you throw him kisses or something? David Lee scks and Gallinari is great. This is not a guy shooting 55%--he's shooting below 42% now for the season. He rarely starts games off well and he doesnt play with energy it takes to play a complete game. the guy has great skill and he's 6-11. For him to ever go 2-6 and look like he rather be eating pasta somewhere is disturbing.

i didn't watch the game after mid-way through the second quarter - but in that time i did not see Gallo get the ball much at all. i don't think he took a single shot. i don't know if that's low energy or more that they just don't involve him enough on offense.

D'Antoni, however, essentially dismissed Jennings' impact with the Bucks, saying before the game: "They've won 21 and we've won 19. I just think (Jennings) will be a good player. He's still a rookie and has a ways to go.

'I don't know if you make the correlation, okay. We would have won 23 (with Jennings)? I don't know that. I just know he's a good player, and Jordan Hill, maybe five years from now he'll be 10 times better. Could be worse. You just don't know. But it's way too early for any of us to know."

D'Antoni is a moron and should just keep his mouth shut. The most idiotic statements ever considering we want Lebron NEXT YEAR. Yea Lebron wants to wait for Hill to come around.

Its hard to tell because you don't know the context in which the quotes were said but he certainly comes off as arrogant for a guy who is 84-150 when he is not running Steve Nash's offense.

unless MDA commits to playing Jordan Hill minutes & letting him show what he can do, he should probably keep his mouth shut about the upside potential of guys like Jennings who's having a ROY calibre season.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
