Watching Jeter in this WBC.. it's pretty evident he's lost a TON of range. I hate to say it but he could be a huge detriment for us this year at SS

2 run turnaround there. didn't bring in the run from 3rd and the leadoff walk scores for japan. uggh. and now they have yu darvish about to come in. wtf...

u gotta wonder if the guy will demand a huge contract extension after this season... i mean he's the face of the franchise & of major league baseball pretty much... i can't imagine how he wouldn't, & it's gonna be a big contract for an aging past his prime player to take on for the longterm from the Yankees' perspective, but they really have no choice in the matter... u can't let ur future HOF guy leave before hitting #3000 in a Yankees uniform... but then, the Yankees did let Babe Ruth go, so i guess u can never say never.

Definitely agree DJ. Ownership is stuck between a rock and a hard place with Jeter. One positive is that Jeter has seemed receptive to moving positions - I think he would do pretty well in CF. Either way the Yanks can't let him walk, they'll have to pay him.
