Whats best for Gallo would be to add weight and strength. That should be more important then him getting playing time right now at this point. If he is on a pure protein & weight lifting diet and practicing with the team while resting during game days that would be fine with me. While 15min a game is nice. 15mins isn't going to develop Gallo's skills. Its the hours he puts in during practice which is what is going to develop him.

Weight lifting, back to basket game, handling, is what he should be doing close to every day for hours.

Sure, let's make him what he's not.

This whole, "all he needs to do is get stronger" is such a fallacy.

1. That's not his game.

2. It could mess up what is his game and that's a face the basket perimeter shooter.

3. It's not going to help his slowness of foot or stiff legs.

4. It could lead to further problems with his back.

Besides, he's not that thin. Kevin Durant is twice as thin as Gallinari is and that hasn't stopped him.

Nah im not looking for him to be a full time low post player. Im looking for him to be 235 adding about 10-15pds. I'm looking for him to be able to back down smaller forwards and use that turn around jumper he showed off vs Novak. He isn't strong enough to fight off aggressive defenders at this point. I believe with added strength and weight at about 235. Plus if he were to work on his handle, he will be able to absorb the contract of an aggressive player rather then getting knocked off balance.

Larry Hughes can't hold Gallo's jock strap when it comes to shooting the rock. This kid is clutch along with Chandler, that's the NYK future. How anyone can want Hughes playing over Gallo is mind boggling to me. I just don't see what Hughes brings that Gallo already does. Let the kid play.

I'm not sure what you're missing here but Gallo is a forward and we are hurting at our guard depth. Hughes and Q will play as a result of that.

Gallo should get minutes but not at the expense of guards who have to play the 1 and 2 for us.

What should be happening is Jeffries should play less.

Cosmic, I appreciate the game videos that you provide but have been watching the same games I have. D'Antoni has played Hughes with Nate and Duhon at the same time for stints since Hughes has been here. Today he even played Q, with Hughes. If you want to say Hughes is a Guard fine but what the hell is he playing sf for.

I agree with you. Not everyone thinks so though.

You can tell that D'Antoni really appreciated Gallinari's production today. I think Gallo earned a minimum of 10min/game of playing time for the rest of the season.

Don't take my word for it, judge it by the actions of the supposed genius of a head coach. He's the one that decided that he needed to bench him.

It's ok. I don't harp on the little things like you do. MDA doesn't get judged by one or two moves. He gets judged for, so far, an overwhelmingly positive body of work here. Walsh gets the same from me. Both had a clean slate and full support on my behalf. Neither has been perfect, but both have been significantly more positive than negative. So far the same goes for Gallo. Not perfect, but judging on this small sample -- more positive than negative.

Agreed come on Isles cant you give him the same amount of time you gave Isiah....

OMG, Gallo played 13 minutes today... BRIGGS & isles can step away from the ledge now that he's getting some playing time again.
