132 points and 19 threes. Chandler looked like the best young player on the floor...

nice win..

if Chandler & Zach had played like this vs SA they woulda won that game too... Jamal's been carying more than his load this year... it's up to the rest of his teammates to do the same... they looked great tonight but consistency is something they still have yet to learn & that's not any single player i'm referring to... they need to start playing this way on the regular before we can get really excited.

its the difference between playing San Antonio's defense and Memphis' defense, i think. San Antonio knows how to stop the SSOL offense and Memphis doesn't and is young enough to get rattled.

no doubt, this ball movement would not have been possible against that tough SA D... but guys also weren't knocking down shots either when they were open in that game... we gotta get consistent play from everyone before we start getting our hopes up over this team, but tonight was definitely fun to watch.

this is officially an aberration... Roberson just hit an open 3.

i dont know... i dont think you can realistically call hitting jumpers a thing of consistency. i think that's really hard to do. some nights it'll be there, some nights it won't. i think this team's problem is gonna be grinding out the nights the shots aren't falling.

It's about creating great shots as opposed to poor shots. This offense is designed to create open shots and if NBA players get open shots consistently, they'll hit for a higher %. That's why teams hit for such a high % against us last 3 years, cuz we didn't defend at all and they were taking open shots. NBA players will hit those. Our players will hit those too.

true. that's a good point. okay, we'll see what happens. i just think the true defensive teams, the boston, san antonio, lakers, etc will be able to take that away from us and we better have a set offense to go thru. like some pick and rolls with craw and zbo or chandler? i don't know.

We only have one half of the equation for a good team. We've got a bunch of role players who are now playing good team ball, but to get to the next level and be able to beat the better teams, you need STUDS! Guys who don't need plays or a system to perform. We might have a guy in Chan, but who knows at this point. Jamal and Nate have the next closest thing to having a stud, in that they can explode for periods of time and that can get you over the hump sometimes. We still need a Stud.

Why we need STUDS if we do have system and plays?
Seriously... Do you really think that if you have STUDS you don't need system and plays?

see the San Antonio game for an example of why you need a stud. it helps.

See the championship seasons of the Detroit Pistons for an example of why you dont.

How many times has a team like that won though?

Chandler missed more than 1 shot, just fyi. He missed that dunk and he missed a turnaround shot at the beginning of the game. Horrible game is turned out to be, for missed 2 shots and not one.

I've been on buses that had more people than were at that game. That was just a sad sad sight.

nate 8-8 and chan 11-12

I was so lucky to find the time to watch this game. Almost missed it last night due to work. Glad I caught it! Wish I was home though to record it - that was a crazy game.

Ah well, I hope we do a repeat against the Thunder tomorrow!
