game flows

Click on a game. Then, you can mouseover anything on the chart anywhere and a window pops up with even more detailed info.

THIS is what you need to pay attention to!

uh, the game flow thing is cool, but it's basically expanded plus minus.

i don't think any stats really do basketball complete justice, but +/- is not a useless tool.

It's much more detailed. You can ignore the +/- because they actually show you little bits of the game along the entire way... where crap like 82games, or fantasy sites, or yahoo - just give you one wild cumulative +/-.

This site LETS YOU decide for yourself. Rather than just TELLING you a player is a + or -.

Why do the Knick guards run away from the inbound pass. Jamal never comes up for the ball.

Now I feel bad for mentioning +/-.... here's the thing with the stat, it measures team performance while that player is on the court. A significant + stat doesn't mean that player performed well, it just means the team did well with him on the court. Sometimes the player actually earned those numbers, sometimes a hot player carried him to a nice + total... the stat is meaningless unless put into context

oh, so i can decide zach was a +10 in the milwaukee game instead of the -10 he actually was? yes, it's more detailed which is cool, but it's still a plus/minus. i like it, but i don't think it's fundamentally different than a plus/minus stat. it's just far more detailed. which, again, cool. but a plus/minus will tell you the basic story.

i don't think either is complex enough to tell the whole story of the game, but whatever. theyre both useful.

This will be a long season. I don't see the better coaching at all yet. When is Nash coming here?

we've escaped for two wins over mediocre teams. this is not pretty. we need jefferies and gallinari to start helping out soon.

we could also use another guard. if we only had a scoring guard... on the bench... who we weren't using... sigh...

Great job by Duhon down the stretch...the offensive rebound and then on that last play he did a great job jumping out on the shooter...

LOL the knicks are so sad they made me a winner in the game picker. Im sure many picked a double digits win, but I sadly knew they would choke a big lead and make it close...

That +/- system is garbage. You get points for just picking your nose while your teammate is doing all the work.
