I think I have been fair. Gallinari showed be enough to show he can be a quality player in the league. I like his hustle the most. I like the fact that he did not back down at all. He will be a good teammate guy. I am glad he finally forced himself in this game, looking to pass too much early on. Very good shooter and his ball handling improved as the game went on. Nerves seem to be his problem in the first quarter. I still don't know his position in the NBA yet but if he fills out I think he can be a 4. Nice showing in the second half. I was very impressed with Chandler, he looked to shoot too much but he knows where he is at. In SL you don't wait until the game comes to you. The game lacked a true point.

I'm more referencing the "KVH IS A HALL OF FAMER" thread we had after his first game where he scored 30. Sometimes the lack of objectivity around here is frustrating. At a point in the game where gallo had ZERO points in a summer-league (no defense), i make a comment about how he sucked (in THIS game) and suddenly I get jumped on. C'mon..

And what if gallo scored 30 today? You don't think there would be threads about how he's an all star or how he's gonna get the knicks to the finals?

Gallo does bad: can't blame him - he's too young, inexperienced, etc.
Gallo does average: amazing first game
Gallo does good: he's gonna be a hall of famer

How about if gallo sucked today then that's just it: he sucked. Not 'he was nervous, didn't ask for the ball, etc.' I thought the excuses left with Isiah, but maybe not. ;)

The gall did come out of his shell in the third and showed me a lil something with his uncontested set shots.

Gonna be intresting watching him in the next 4 SL games.

NO need to be reserved the kid shows real skills. The kind of skills that will serve him well in his NBA career. We need players like him and Mike will know what to do with him.
