I am stunned Walsh turned this down. We are not a playoff team, Zach is not an important player. They want to run, so let them run. Curry can give you enough in 25 minutes if he is used properly.

Walsh is trying to build a contender you don't do that by keeping a player that shoots everytime he touches it and doesn't look for his teammates. He is owed 18 million in the last year of his deal, how much is it going to cost to get bosh, wade or Lebron. Some where close to that number......

This opens up minutes for chandler, balkman, lee, gallo, which is what this team really needs. If we can get some of the players like Curry, Lee, and Crawford to have big years we can really start working the cap in our favor.....

If Zach had 23pts and 10rbs for an improving Blazers team and the best they could do is Steve Francis and Channing Frye, please explain to me what Donnie thinks he can get. Curry is owed 8 million less a year. Teams can always use someone like that if they are used properly.

Walsh also knows not to take the first deal that comes to him. You don't think that LAC won't take ZBo in the same trade a week from now? Maybe LAC also demanded Lee in the trade or Wilson. Who knows.

I actually think they won't because, deng, smith, iggy, and okafur would all be better fits. The clippers are the knicks of the west coast you have to take the deal right away in this instance. Zach is not a winning player. You get rid of them one by one.

Its important that DWalshi get to see the Ute we got before trading.

Walsh needs to get Clips first round (likely protected)if anything.

I trust Donnie won't screw the pooch.

Of course they're better fits and better players, but what's the likelihood of them getting one of those players?

Now that we know the "Real" trade offer (well maybe ) we should re-label this thread -
"Much Ado about Nothing"

Let's give Donnie a chance!

Don't kid yourself. We don't know the real trade offer and we never will.

Very true.....but I feel it wasn't a good one for us. I tend to believe the latest - us giving up a 1st round pick. And part of Walsh's "plan" is not to give up picks. Isiah crippled us. And we still have one more 1st round upcoming pick that Isiah gave up in 2010. U-h-h!

Fair enough. I tened to believe the first one for all the reasons Briggs posted earlier, but we'll never know.
