This is a very sloppy game. Every Knick had a bad game. It seems Crawford tood 10 steps back. Those palming call on the Knicks were bad. But this tean can't play any defense and that is killing them. The Knicks didn't come to play. They think that playing tit for tat will get them a win but it won't. This was a bad game. Marbs was out of touch. They give up too many points.

With respect, be nice if you could tell us something new.

Would also be nice if the Knicks could show us something new.

Nelson really killed us tonight

This guy only averages about what, 9, 11 points a game? Always those sleepers that kill us.

not a sleeper... we are killed every night by guards.. coincidence? Maybe we should look at playing Fred Jones down the stretch
David f'n Lee for President!!

I don't understand what Isiah's trying to do.

I mean 4 of our starters don't defend. And 2 of them don't have long range distance.

We need to trade away all of our guards and Curry IMHO. We need guards that don't turn the ball over and who defend.

And a Center that intimidates.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I think the Knicks played SOME good D, but then they had a LOT of time when they simply left guys wide open. I dont' understand what the plan was when they seemed to be trying to play a zone and left Howard open for dunks. I also don't understand why they can't simply stay man to man, it seemed to be working well enough, but then they went away from it. Steph was a bad matchup against Nelson and the team never adjusted to his penetration.

Still what killed us was a very shaky offensive game from Jamal and they went away from Curry and Zach in the post. I don't care how hard Foyle was playing, if you stay with the post up and give Curry the ball he's gonna make good things happen.

We didn't get a big boost from the bench tonight either. Nate, Balk and Lee didn't really have their usual high energy game.

Anyway, it's just one game and they have to put this behind them and get the next one. We don't need any losing streaks. Let's get back on the winning track before we hit the road.

GO KNICKS!!!!

I think the lesson here is -

We're never gonna outscore teams. Teams like Orlando, Cleveland, etc, have enough defense to contain us JUST ENOUGH, and have killer 3-PT shooting.

Same will go for Toronto, Boston, etc.

I don't mind keeping Randolph b/c atleast he's a consistent force.

But we need to RENOVATE the ENTIRE team with defense, b/c you simply can't outscore teams in the paint.

they were what 9/29, that is not killer three point shooting at all. The knicks had too many To's, and really were sloppy. Defensively, when you let turkoglu get off, there is a problem. if the knicks want to elevate their game, they have to shut down guys like that.... geez.... bogans too? WTF?

They must be consistant every game. We weve got to put this on behind us and learn from it.

Papabear

ZR and Q both did alright. Q with some good D and what, 19 points? ZR showed some good hustle and D and ended up with 23 and 13. Two steals as well.

That gets Zach around 20 a game now, right? He does eat up the boards. Looks like he'll be the only consistent one this year. Watch Q have a bad game next. Just shows the inconsistency with this bunch.
I'll never trust this' team again.

And hey... Curry got another block tonight! And not just a "hands were up and he got lucky and they wound up in front of the ball" block. A "the ball is in the air, he times his jump... get out!" kind of block.

Actually TKF,

The Magic are one of the best 3 ball teams in the entire NBA. They had an OFF night tonight. Lewis missed ALOT of shots he normally would make. Same for Bogans.

We got lucky it wasn't a blow out earlier on.

We still need a franchise player, (obviously), but we also need to renovate the entire backcourt, or just play GS Warrior basketball...

'Course that would entail putting Z-Bo at Center...

Either way Curry needs to go I think.

It was a goaltend really.

But Eddy did collect two steals and two assists. Wih just 2 Tos.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

The fact they got up that many threes when 20 of them were pretty much uncontested still puts pressure on your team. You make jump shooters put the ball on the floor which we don't have the ability to do for whatever reason.

You think? It looked good to me. Ball didn't seem to be coming down, and it definitely wasn't in the cylinder. Regardless, I'll take the good timing on the jump. Hell, I'll take the fact that he actually jumped.

I like dwight, but the guys offensive game is the equivalent of marvin webster(post knee surgeries) and yet he gets lost on the baseling for ally oops which is 99% of his horrible offensive game.. curry has to do a better job, and to let him get that many boards, I put that partly on curry, heck zack did his job tonight. geez.

nelson outplayed marbury, that was the key, and letting hedo stankglu get off is a damn joke..

this was a loss we saw comming.. right?

You talk all this stuff about how other teams players are garbage, scrubbish, limited bums, etc etc yet game after game we get beat by these players. So my question to you is what are our players?

No defense on a consistant basis will kill us. If we can get Artest lets get him.
I can't take one positive thing out of this game. The Knicks have a lot of work to do. Zeke can't go out on the floor and play for them.
Oh well I can't wait for the next game.

Dw True,

TKF is cut from RealGM cloth. Knicks are underrated, the refs are to blame.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I

Eh, I'm iffy on Artest. His defense is a bit overrated nowadays. And he takes a high volume of shots.

Do you really want 40 shots a game between Ron Artest and Zach Randolph? Not to mention all the dead hookers...

Winnable game especially at home. Early defensive lapses (Marbury) giving up 4 layups just cannot happen. Crawford can't get taken out of his game by the refs. We can't win'em all but we sure could have won that one.
